I am looking for more information on the internal XDK 5933 dash files. I have found a couple of topics here that talk about XDKRecovery5933Internal.exe and the internal dash files associated with them. I haven't found much else on it, other than the extracted dash files themselves. Is the recovery exe around anymore? Here are the most enlightening posts I have found: The XDASH files I have from internal don't drop straight into C. The XDK Launcher works fine, but the Xbox Dashboard isn't loading. The XDASHDATA xip's don't work right away either. That is usually ignored when moving XDK dash files over to an XBOX anyway. 1) Has anyone gotten the Xbox Dashboard to work? 2) What is its history tied to these motherboards? 3) What are the differences between the internal and external XDK?
where did you find the internal files ? on this Site ? also im intrested into this inhouse stuff, what is it more precisely (if known). Im asking all and DaE
Most information I have come across has been from posts or private messages from users here. I'm not looking at it as a functionally better XDK. I don't see where the dash files can make a difference in the software I'm working on, and I hardly see much reason to use 5933 over 5849 other than the fact that it's more readily available. I'm asking from a curiosity standpoint. A very itching curiosity.
ive also read that somewhere. Maybe some small codechanges.. and ive read somewhere that 5933 was lastbuild for Halo2. to squeese the last bits of power out of the Xbox. but i dont know where and how reliable the source was.
i have 5933 external with the sdk and exe and iso recovery... but i have yet to see internal... it mightve been dumps from a xdk preinstalled.
The internal build was released years ago, not sure what the format was but it seems to be long gone.
The internal files I have suggest it is a rip of the relevant files from a recovery exe. I have never cracked open a recovery iso, though. They might have the same file structure, but I haven't heard of any recovery iso for 5933. Are you sure your iso is not 5849, shuma? For what it's worth, talk about an "XDKRecovery5933Internal.exe" agrees with this suspicion.
Shuma, I also have the Externam .exe, I now have the files inside a Internal recovery of 5933 but no Exe or SDK.
WAM's release would include "XDKRecovery5933External.exe." The dash files I'm investigating are from a "XDKRecovery5933Internal.exe."
