So the DVT-3/4 can be determined whether it's a dev or a debug kit? How can you tell which is which?

 

DVT3's are development kits. They are clear with a metallic green jewel.
DVT4's are development kits. They are clear with a normal green jewel.
Debug kits are debug kits. They are green with a black jewel.

 

Okay. I only have the green debug kit.

I never have the cash on hand when a DVT is up for grabs...

 

Black debug kits as well,some with just 64mb of ram.

 

DVT-3 are the ones that are difficult to find. DVT-4 show up way more often.

 

True. And debug kits are even more plentiful.
I don't know if this is true, but I once heard that studios could only have 2 development kits. There was no limit to the amount of debug kits they could lease.
