i m impressed. The graphics are quite clever, good looking, and functional for the most part it seems. Too bad the gameplay seems average and not well thought-through. There's nothing going on that makes me want to grab a controller and experience - something that I look at every game I end up playing alot.

There's a new footage video up. It shows what seems to be an early version of one of the specific Rogue levels (albeit still played with Bishop in this proto).

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KXRtAY5tUqM

The ninja-themed level from the other video was being assigned to Wolverine in the final version anyway.

PS: Fans of Jesper Kyd should recognize this music.

Man, now I understand why the game wasn't released lol
although I would have loved to play as Bishop since he's one my fav x-men, the game looks just like... crap shiet lol
Even though, I'd love it if someone would take the time to make a repro of the game with box, booklet and so on (as of virtual hamster)

The hit detection looks awful that can be expected of a game in development though.

Is there any markings to say when this particular dump or cartridge is from?

It shows a great deal of promise. Did it use Voxels?

Thanks SegaSaturno and Drx. You guys rock.

Shenmue saturn would be a miracle. As for these two, I am not surprised. They have been known to be in collectors hands just were never dumped. X-men proto I know one online game shop that went out of business had it and showed a little footage.

Of course this footage actually shows a lot more of the game play. The graphics look amazing for 32x, but the game play is poorly executed. Still great release though.

Guys it's just an alpha. Not a completed product and for me this shows great premise.

Yes, it's just an alpha. I'm getting tired of seeing people say it's crap. Several people actually donated hard cash to see this preserved, and it's not really helping anyone to say that it looks like crap on every board you're registered on. :/

I look forward to this upcoming release. I get a feeling it will be a Saturn game now :)

    You're right.

At least it's out there, that's the main thing. And it is crap. I own an original (potentially more advanced, I need to do some checking) and it really is crap. Great potential, and great interest to a 32x/proto fan like me. But crap execution all the same.

Oh now i know why it did not get a release cos its shite

cheers for the vid anyway still i would like to see tomberaider as long as its an original game. the 32x may of been saved if some of the original games had been released like a sonic game but my first impression of x men is not good.

We know it's an alpha but that doesn't mean people can't say something is crap when it is. Sure, if the game had continued to be worked upon it could have become something nice, maybe. But as it stands it's pretty awful but then again most alphas are and people know that. I'm sure nobody expected a full on high quality game and if they did then they're quite silly. Still, no matter how crap or shitty an alpha is people still love to see them, myself included.
