I had a similar problem when running windows 8.1. I decided to use an XP vhd which allowed me to read/write to my USB stick without any problems. However, when reading the USB on the xbox the game saves show up as corrupted. I'm guessing it's either the USB stick not being fully compatible or a problem using the XP VHD.. I've ordered a Sandisk cruzer 4gb in the meantime.

Sandisk cruzer blade arrived today and the xbox doesn't even acknowledge its presence. Any other ideas on why the game save would show as corrupt?

It'd be showing up as corrupt as it's not copying correctly. I'd copy the save and leave it plugged in for another 5 minutes, incase there's some GUI issues, but still copying.

Thanks Hexagon. Still wasn't working, so I tried a PC with Win7 x64 which copied over fine and shows up on the xbox with no problems.
