Hmm, if you don't have the disc, this is very risky for the buyer as you will receive the money but you can't be 100% sure the CD will be shipped.
So are you ready to compromise you, if problems appears, just on a sale as a middleman ?
Unless the real seller is a very trusted guy, and in this case you can tell us who he is so there will not be any problems and we will be ready to bid on the item (more bidder = more money for the seller, right ?).
I don't want to loose 10000, 15000, 20000 yens or more on a not genuine, freshly burnt from ISO proto disc. I am sure all of the collectors here doesn't want to loose their wages and be ripped off on such an item.

Yakumo, you are not a newbie in this community and you know Assembler forums is THE place to find people really interested in dev/proto/beta stuff.
When someone tries to sell an item, he tries to sell it on the best place. When someone tries to sell dev/proto/beta stuff, most of the time he knows he must advertise his sale on Assembler forums.
In the case of this disc, the seller does NOT want to sell here and on any english boards ? So he doesn't want to earn a lot of money for his item ? Don't you see a little problem ?
YJ could be a good place to sell a "false" copy of a beta disc because japanese people don't really know this forum and surely don't know that Segafreak_NL ripped his CD some years ago. Also, not a lot of people from here go on YJ to buy stuff, just a few of us do that.
As you are not a newbie, you already know all of this and as a middleman, you must ask yourself why the seller does NOT want to talk about this sale on boards where most of the dev/beta/proto community is.
Also, as you are a middleman on this sale, why did you delete here some posts that talks about this auction ? For you, it doesn't matter if we talk about it here as you must NOT have a lot of interest in this sale.

We just need answers and information about this CD.

To Barc0de : I am trying to not be agressive in the first time. I just post here the link to the auction to see if people know something about it and I saw my post deleted by Yakumo (to keep it quiet from this board, so nobody from here will never know about the sale ?). So what is the problem about just a simple post of an auction ? That makes the item suspicious
and wanted to know more about it. As I said, I (and all of us) don't want to loose maybe 20000 or more yens on a "false" proto disc.

I won't receive the money. It's obvious that you have no idea how Yahoo auctions work isn't it. The money is sent to what ever bank account I give the buyer.

As I've mentioned to other mods. The seller worked for Koei years back in Tokyo. He now owns his own recording studio that does English voiceovers for Japanese promotion videos for big companies. That's how we met. The guy knows that the English board bring unwanted attention as you and Druid II are wonderfully proving. THAT is why it wasn't posted on an English language board. He wanted no attention but now it seems he or I (has / have) it (Which I told him would happen)

Man, you live in a small world don't you!? If you want to make money you MUST post on an English board? Do you know how much you can get for a proto in Japan were the things are more like gold dust than the west? Think about it.

I got bored reading the rest so I'll just post this. The owner has been contacted by mail and asked to prove that it is different than Segafreak_NL's version. If it does turn out to be the same I will cancel the auction. If it doesn't then the auction will stay up.

Lets just get one thing clear -!and I've stated this before! let that be clear- the proto wasn't mine but was kindly submitted by a Dutch guy called Kjell. He told about in the SegaXtreme boards but couldn't find any space to upload it(so people could play it). (we're talkin 2004 here). I talked with him on ICQ (that was a while ago..damn) and thats how everything ended up on the net in 2005. (after I was told to 'see what I'd do with it' (the iso). I will contact him about it again (if I can , emails bounced before) and check his thought on the matter. (I'm not talking about the auction now, but his proto generally)

I can fully understand where you are coming from Segafreak_NL and believe me when I say I did not make this disc.!

The auction has been pulled (actually the owner still insists his disc is original that has been in his possession for years) now after mailing the owner. He says his version is the same number as yours yet his doesn't crash/freeze after the story section like the version you released.

I'll send you a copy of the Emails.

That's good news to hear. (the fact that the proto is different).
So it seems deleting posts at first was not a good idea.

Probably not but it comes with a book as well, so it seemed like a nice collectable if you collect DOOM stuff. (There must be some of them around ;) )

Well it has "Secret Pack" written on it and a Shareware-Version of DOS-Doom. I don't if thats something uncommon though, but for Doom collectors I'm sure it will :p

Sorry, but that's the first japanese complete one I saw for the last four years
Actually, I don't think I've even seen a loose one during this period (I mean, a japanese one)
It's a bit like the sega AI, gone fa**** rare nowadays...

The stuff was also released in australia and europe.
To understand how rare it became: I've got an ebay search looking for "sega SF 7000" with the "search title and description" stuff and "location: any country".
You see something related to it something like three times a year lol
