Seems more like he was venting his frustration with the situation, not specifically other bidders; in this case the French deputy services. You are misquoting him as well distorting the context, he actually said "...this fucking french auction service...". He concludes with his acceptance and understanding of the situation as it is and will continue to be.

Besides, if he was just complaining (that's like complaining about oil companies but not about people using oil, but well) this service is provided by a japanese guy i know, very nice and friendly, who just got 2 beautiful twins, a good behaviour, and whom i'll surely report what this guy think of him. He'll be pleased.

I think different members here bid on things on behalf of other people, and so thus acting as a deputy, so why is that not seen with frustration or hate, too.

 

Good thing I don't use a deputy service when I buy stuff there. Too high prices in the long run...

That's quite a low blow, trying to justify there shouldn't be deputy service because it allowed scams.
Especially when most scams were made by physical people, like you, being in Japan, and conning japanese shops within those last 10 years.

Insane prices happen, with or without deputy service.

This is just real people bidding war result, and it was the same when i arrived on Ebay back in 1997.
I remember 2 people fighting up to $1500 for my "New Classic Dracula" Audio CD, when i started it at $80. It happened even back then.
