I was just wondering why the bidding shot up by such large increments. What I mean is...

You can see it went from 25k to 35k in one jump, from 41 to 50, from 50 to 80. Why?

I'm guessing here, but is it to do with the auction having a reserve? If so I'm guessing that on yahoo auctions if your bid is below the reserve the auction goes up to your max bid, as opposed to Ebay where if your bid is below the reserve the auction just goes up to the increment above the bid below yours.

Or am I talking crap?

Yeah sure, Adols top noch shipping service.
Both MD lots were kickass, this one has the games in a very better condition, there were only 3 with sunfade, he other one has a lot.
However, the Tetris is not in it. Plus some systems.
But it's a kickass price for the 3 MD collections complete, with all the rares and so I think it was a bargain.

 

Also I don't want to kill the mite, but I've told with the seller of the lot, who knows MD so well, and he knows people who own the Tetris. He told me that there are 20 copies or so of it, not 8 like we thought before.

 

well, 20 is still fackin' scarce lol

 

The point was there are 12 more chances to get it...for people who want to spend 300000 Yens in it.

Still for me,a great price, considering how low the yen/us$ is compared to Euro

In fact more than 300.000y in my opinion, because the other auction has less value than this, wwf raw was totally sunfaded, same that foreman for real and some more items

Plus Tetris got a sunfade in the top left of the front and spine.

Looks like there was a reserve, at least that's my guess. The starting person has 3 bids, 1000, 5000, and 7000 yen. Since he was the first bidder there's no one he's competing against except himself. The bids all happen in the same minute so he's probably not deciding to raise his own max bid.

Just my guess...

 

Ah cheers. I hadn't realised that on Yahoo you could bid against yourself and raise the price by so doing when there was a reserve. As you know, on ebay when bidding on a reserve auction, you can bid multiple times but you will only ever raise yourself if you hit the reserve.
