Sunset Overdrive was free last month with Games With Gold, if you still have a XBL account be sure to login via the website and select all 4 free games each month, so when you do get another Xbox you'll have tons of games ready to be installed.
Sorry, but why is it so hard to decide if you want the Xbox One? Perhaps you're one of those persons who gets really pissed when regretting something, so that's understandeable, but if not, buy it already... You'll surelly have fun, and get the Live Gold right now, even if delaying the console purchase, you get 4 games per month and you don't seem to have a great backlog to complain about eventually repeated games. n_n'
Well I do respect everyone's opinions here, as they're unbiased. Obviously a hardcore XBOX fan is going to say get it it's the best thing evar.
The question is legitimate though: why do you say you want it when it's clear that you don't? Disclaimer: PS4 dev, have both consoles, hate the XBONE controller and haven't touched it since DR3 at launch.
I do but I'm not 100% sold on it. I get some Original XBOX vibes from it but I just got a PS4 and have my Eye on the WII U and/or NX. There are games on it I want to play too. So it's not that I don't want one, it's just more "Do I want one now?"
So maybe around 2020? I didn't regularly see 360s at thrift stores until maybe 2014 at the earliest, then it was still pretty uncommon. If you already have a PS4, then the Wii U or NX is a better thing to get first. The XB1 has better exclusives than the PS4, but any Nintendo system is going to have the best exclusives (and the fewest multiplats).
That's up to you to decide. However fans or not, it's down to your choice and money. I don't get why you need others to justify it. I've owned two Xbox Ones, don't get any early model. Latest bundles have the updated controller, major difference in build quality. That's as much as I can add really.
Pretty sure I said somewhere I'm waiting for a slim model. I needed a forklift for the original XBOX the XBONE seems to be a repeat
I'm not hardcore, though... But looking in a strictly monetary way, the live gold is worth it. You pay the price of one game and get 4 per month, sometimes more because of a holiday/whatever. =B
