They come out in September according to this article, which is a full 9 months away from the December 3rd anniversary date... but hey, better late then never. I'm in for one!
I want one and I don't even have a PS4! I heard it works on PS3 and PC so at least I could get some use out of it.
I think people wanted more than just the controller though. I'd like to actually own the system too :\ - At least you're getting something though.
Yeah, they revealed it during E3. They'll do the Gold Headset as well. Anyway, it also comes with a 20th anniversary package.
I would love to have the PS1-themed PS4. Too bad it's sold out and outrageously overpriced. EDIT: That box looks nice along with that awesome-looking controller
They have pre orders. But I don't think its limited. Or at least I haven't seen anything saying it is.
I pre-ordered one to be safe. They didn't say if it would be limited or not, but after getting burned on the Nintendo Wii U Gamecube Adapter I'm not going to risk it on a item I really want. lol. Although... this was posted in E3 and Sony definitely is not putting the media splash like they did with the console. So hopefully it might make it around so that everyone who wants one will get one.
It's not identical to the one that shipped with the 20th Anniversary consoles. I don't believe the trackpad area will have this design that originally shipped with the console.
The trackpad will be the same as the normal controllers. I think it's perfect honestly. It will keep the 20th anniversary limited controller valuable and let everyone else have a grey ps1 style controller.
