Tried thinking of something not already listed.
For multi-player, any of the Mario Parties and Mario Strikers.

I ll second Luigi's Mansion. I got into this game this year, but I regret not having played it on launch. The game is pure fun.

It's a lot of fun as long as it lasts but has no replay value whatsoever. But, ah, sweet memories of Gamecube launch day in Europe w/ Luigi's Mansion...

To add one more: Homeland (JAP only)

I just got PC Genjin (Bonk's Adventure) and a Hori Digital Pad yesterday...great game!

Also maybe try Skies of Arcadia if you don't already have the DC version.

That was the first game I beat on the GC when I got the GC and Luigi's Mansion on launch day.

Mario Sunshine can SUCK IT !

The bonus levels were cool, but the rest ... ugh. I promptly traded this in upon completion.

    HOLY CRAP :eek:h:

How could I forget Tales Of Symphonia

    Battalion Wars
    Pikman 1 & 2
    Mariocart: Double Dash

Phantasy Star Online I/II+ (best experianced with a broadband adapter and a account on the Schthack private server)

If you haven't played them on the dreamcast pickup the sonic adventure games (Not as good as the dreamcast IMHO, but you can still play them)

Ikaruga - if you haven't played it on XBLA or on the dreamcast pick up a copy.

It's strange - I despised the 'Secret' stages and quite enjoyed the others.

The Blue coin/Shine collection crap was a load of filler, though - and the final boss was a bit easy in comparison to the rest of the game.

Usually it's quite cheap to buy though, and it's worth a go... it is a bit Marmite and requires patience though.

My girlfriend's opinion is that too much story was clustered at the beginning and so it left you not getting anything new for much of the gameplay. But it was alright.

Sonic Adventure DX is better than the DC Sonic Adventure because of the fixing of all those dodgy bugs in the game - however, the main story section of Sonic Adventure 2 suffered a little in the port, and so if you're not fussed about the battle options I'd stick with the DC version for that.

I do concur about Mario Kart: Double Dash!! though - once you've got the practice in it's a load of fun, although much like many of these party games you need to complete the solo game in it's entirety so you can unlock everything.

The gamecube has some excellent titles (Most of which will have been said previously but who cares) -

    Resident Evil 4
    Luigi's Mansion
All the Prince of Persia games
    Beyond Good & Evil

    Games to avoid -

    Mario Sunshine
Mario Kart Double Dash (Mario Kart 64 is much better)
    Bloodrayne
    Baulders Gate Dark Alliance
    Dakar 2

your games to avoid are bullocks. Save Dakar 2 and Bloodrayne, the rest are respectable games.

One thing I have learned since I started posting here is that people are quick to jump on someone elses opinion.

My games to avoid are not 'bullocks' they are the games I would advise people to avoid (the reason being, I don't like them). If you disagree just say so.......
