That is probably because there isn't a lot to say about the rest of what you said. I'd rather have some rap music with good lyrics and beat rather than a Dubstep song with shrieking stabs that sound the equivalent of nails on a chalkboard and lyrics that do nothing but exist to exist, if they are even there at all. As said, to each their own. Don't get upset when you ask why people don't like Dubstep & their reasoning is "it sucks," because sometimes that is all that is needed. Matter fact, it shouldn't upset you that people like/don't like what you enjoy yourself, cuz that's a lot of pointless suffering when you could just be enjoying your Dubstep in the face of all the haters.
Electro > Dubstep. If you like beats and lyrics give electro a try, it uses the same kind of sounds and samples as dubstep but is structured more like traditional music. The genre is pretty varied going all the way from house to old school hip hop, there's some really good music there, in my opinion of course.
