..........you set-up 47 PCs so you don't need a guild... Yep, this is what happen when that which has no life gets a lot of disposable income and becos he has no life the only choice is to make the most insane WoW rig ever! Check it out: Theres only a couple details: one, they (yeah theres TWO OF THEM!) use switchs to control a total of 23 WoW accounts (not sure if its 23 each or together) and that most of the shuttle PCs we see here are diskless in order to save energy. They most be using some short of solid memory, life CFs with IDE adapters, since I seriously doubt they went to the point of using SSDs, which are very expensive and kinda overkill. So anyway, we dont know where they live, but with that energy bill it must be near some nuclear plant... Shadowlayer
I think this is more of a macro-based Gold farming enterprise than someone "with no life". Where there is a profit to be made, people will make it.
Someone explain: -What's a guild -What's the benefit of having all that bullshit? -Why the fuck does everyone like WOW so much?
A guild is basically a group of players who get together and decide they're a group who play with each other. It's akin to a club or clan in game form. Those are basically just diskless computers so they can ruin an iteration of WoW on each box. The forum it came from describes them using a KVM to cycle through all of it. Basically they aren't happy with just playing one character at a time, they need 47 or so. It's addictive pyschologically, about it. Game is nothing to write home about IMO.
A guild is a group of friends that tend to do things together like fight other guilds or something. A guild is basically a gang. There's no benifit, the game is retarded. People like WoW because Blizzard shit it out and everyone thinks it's golden because it came from Blizzard's ass. Blizzard did make actually good games like StarCraft.
That's probably why he has that many systems. Level up accounts and then simply resell them for $100+. There are idiots out there who would spend that kind of money, so why not exploit the idiots? Hell, if Blizzard can do it, so can joe-smoe pc gamer.
Gold sales is where the real money is. PLing is just a way to keep as many accounts clean as possible.
Good question, and dunno since I dont play WoW. The last MMORPG I played was PSO and it was good for a while, but you have to stay at home all day leveling up to make these damn games enjoyable, which is like working for nothing... I'll rather level up my own life:nod::lol:
Wow...that's insane. I played WoW hardcore, for about a month and watched my grades slip. I decided to stop. Until further notice.
especially when people start playing the game now, and are way behind some of the vets, so people pay real cash for in game shit. I'm playing Forza 2 on the xbox 360 and people even do that there. You can make countless in game credits with an Xchange memory card thing, and people actually sell them on ebay. It's funny and sad at the same time.
I just bought a 14 days trial dvd of WOW for 2$ at The Source, will see if that is so awesome like many tell me. The only MMO I ever played is the 4th coming 3 years ago...
i don't like WOW, i left my computer on all night to download the trial and after about 10 minuites trying to find a building i had to visit for my 1st small quest thing i gave up and imediatly uninstalled the thing i don't see how its as good as people make out and even after spending a while leveling up i still don't think it would be any better
For WoW you need a friend to show you the ropes first of all really. Once you have a few basics and join a guild it gets good. Starts to dull though after you realise that it's just one endless grind to get the best gear and that there is no point to the endless gameplay .
there was a good article somewhere cant remember if it was edge or online on the decline of goldsales they talked about the problems of dupes and other cheats or workarounds and how the price declined over the years and various games good stuff to read
