Your easiest fix ever ?

A Core2Duo Laptop for about $20. (Core2Duo 1.8Ghz, 1.5GB RAM, 14 inch screen.)

The owner said the laptop is in near useless and is good only for parts. When I checked it, the hard drive is missing and the DVD-Drive is busted as well but everything else seems to be working. So what I did is just buy the cheapest hard drive I can find and then install Windows thru a flash drive. And now it's working flawlessly.

Posting now on that very same laptop.

 

well i have many quick/easy fix stories, easiest, easiest would a n N64 that just had the reset button stuck in, bit of warm water on a cotton bud fixed it initially until i got around to opening it up and cleaning it out properly....but my favorite fix was a Samsung TV that was just flashing red when powered on, the person had took it to a tv repair shop who quoted her £120 to fix it , so she said she would give me £70 if i could do it.....turns out it was a couple of capacitors, so only cost me £1 to fix (well about 25p but i had to buy a pack of 8 capacitors so i had a few left over)....and i was kinda skint at the time, just moved into a new place so the money really helped out

also discounting fixes that weren't fixes, i.e stuff bought as faulty that turned out to be perfectly fine right off the bat)

 

purchased a ps3 slim cech-3001 on ebay for $3 + $12 shipping, was sold broken for parts due to no video output

performed a video reset and console was good as new, sold it same day on CL for $100
