    Me.

    It has to be Cocaine Cowgirl by Matt Mays

    I'm just freaking addicted to this song. Its like Tom Petty reborn.

    Its unfortunate noone outside of Canada has any idea who this band is, as its some of the best rock of heard in a long time. My friends from halifax showed me this and slowly I've contagiously passed it on to my other friends and family and I figured I shoul bring it to my favorite board.

    Blast this!

    Ahhhh NAD, yes of course a classic title from them.

    ...Are you a fan of CUSM, PWEI and the 'Stuffies'?

    If so I reckon 'Don't let me down (gently)' from the Wonderstuff makes a great driving tune and of course not forgetting 'Brassneck' from the Wedding Present.

    I am indeed! used to be into them in a big way in my younger days and going to gigs was never a problem as they were all living relativly local to me (and still do for that matter) Not so much Carter USM but PWEI and Neds had a huge influcence in my musical upbringing much to the dismay of my parents, already got my tickets for the neds christmas bash in december, and because i know the singer jon reasonably well hes invited me to the aftershow party etc.

    I also find some of the old levellers songs are good to drive to, however i dont actually drive, so dont have much say on whats played on the stereo in the car when my wifey is driving, she usually listens to over-rather emo punk crap such as chemical romance etc.

    Somewhat predictable, but personally I think this is one of those forgotten albums that when it arrived people were immediately disappointed because they assumed that "The Stone Roses" would somehow sound like their debut album.... anyway, if I am in a sh*te mood this has the desired effect:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YgfQ9G3vi-8
    <Stone Roses : Driving South>

    Or irony aside....

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8__vHs3xcR4
    <Radiohead : Airbag>

    I certainly wouldn't be listening to Rage against the machine in the car as I'd be likely to end up with a speeding fine.

    Not what you listen to while your driving but a good "driving song"

    I got the idea from the most recent episode of Reaper, which focused on a couple from hell who would use "Radar Love" by Golden Earring as their "special driving song"

    Highway Star - Deep Purple;
    L.A. Woman - The Doors

    It really depends on what mood I'm in. I used to get high to Joy Division, Death Cab for Cutie, and Tiesto.

    Right now I have Tiesto in the car, but Death's "Human" is sitting on the passenger seat and is getting a steady rotation as well.

    I have an iPod connector built into my car stereo, so I pretty much listen to whatever I listen to normally. Right now, my favorite driving song would probably be Captain Pasty by Black Francis.

    Heavy Metal Machine by Steel is really cool.

    Others:
    Don't Stop Me Now - Queen
    Zombie Autopilot - Unearth
    Fucking Determined - Mudvayne
    Optimistic - Radiohead
    Children - Robert Miles
    Rejection Role - Soilwork

    Anything with a funky or changing time sig is probably a no-no, my foot'll be pulsing like hell.

    I've only listened the album with cocaine cowgirl on it, but it truly is awesome. Every Song has a really different tempo and style. So you'll find that some stuff might not be in you taste

    My favorites are "Stand Down at Sundown", "Travelin'", "On the Hood"

    You can see a wikipedia entry of it

    Basically all the metal I listen to has changing time signatures. I get very bored with 4/4 "metal." Funny thing you say that, though, because most of the bands in your list have played different time signatures in at least a few songs.
