Maybe I should try As I Destruct by Threat Signal for a kick, or maybe Baby's First Coffin by DEP or the whole Kezia album by Protest the Hero.

I haven't heard of the first one. I liked "Calculating Infinity" by DEP, but I haven't heard much of their other stuff. Kezia is awesome and you should get it right away.

Threat Signal are a bit like Messuggah, if a not quite as heavy. Lots of polyrhythms and wierd time sigs.

Kezia's a great album, picked it up after seeing how insane their musicians are :p Rumor has it they write their songs before learning them, bit like DEP do.

Puerto Rico Rob's "You ain't a killa" mash-up from Tapemaster's Inc "Mash-Up Gang" album (picture). It has the lyrics from Big Pun over that cool guitar from that AC/DC song whose name I can't remember... somehow those two mix very well :D

Absolutely nothing else would suffice when blasting across the freeway to Yokohama at a relaxed 170km/h :033:

I like the OutRun music. I don't drive to it often, but it is good driving music, as is the Katamari Damacy soundtrack.

Other than that, I spend about 3 hours a day in my car on days I have school (I don't live on campus and I get to be in Houston rush hour traffic every day). The mix CD I've been listening to a lot lately goes something like -

    Social Distortion - "1945"
    Bludwulf - "Slaughtered Lamb"
    Circle Jerks - "Red Tape"
    D.O.A. - "America the Beautiful"
Dead Kennedys - "I Kill Children"
    Descendents - "Jean is Dead"
    Dwarves - "Everybody's Girl"
    The Germs - "Forming"
Jonezetta - "Get Ready (Hot Machete)"
    The Matches - "Papercut Skin"
Millions of Dead Cops - "I Remember"
    Minor Threat - "It Follows"
    The Plugz - "Adolescent"
Reel Big Fish - "I Want Your Girlfriend to be My Girlfriend Too (Live)"
    Reverend Horton Heat - "Marijuana"
The Stooges - "I Wanna Be Your Dog"
    Sublime - "Seed"
T.S.O.L. - "Love Story", "Darker My Love"
Suspected Terrorists - "Henry Ford is Dead (And I'm Glad)"
Flipper - "Way of the World"
Big D and the Kids Table - "LAX"

I also enjoy the musical stylings of The Buzzcocks in the car on a regular basis, and I've been listening to the Adolescents's Blue Album a whole lot recently too (but that's mainly because my band's doing a synthpop version of "Amoeba").

I love Jonezetta. That's such a catchy song. I've seen them a couple times live, they're great! Good choice!
