Another hobby of mine(more of a career related thing but still) is Recording music http://dod.vgmix.com/past.php Can find remixes of VGM under the name "BONKERS" at the above website.
I also like photoshopping pictures of people I hate. In this case, I made a college classmate look like a transvestite. My nickname for him was RENFIELD. Enjoy!
ah, I couldn't remember, <_______________> sorry lol I had to upload something on my Photobucket account and just saw it. I don't look back through my stuff a lot lately haha.. Funny picture btw, He's a "pretty!" girl!
well i care a great deal about my music. i've invested decent (for me) money and research into my headphones, sound card, etc. and i'm no audiophile but lossy audio formats suck ass. you're losing a LOT of audio information no matter how well you encode. *i actually have 4 drives that wouldn't make a tb if i combined them lol. spc's, gyms, etc and bridgem1 save me 100's of gig's. discovering lossless for audio is like discovering rgb for old consoles. you probably didn't feel like you were missing much before but when you find out it's eye opening.
Eh, I prefer degraded signals like composite for most consoles anyway, it seems most authentic to me.(modern consoles on the other hand RGB>everything else) And to me there is a certain flair to sometimes using a low bitrate that gives it a feeling to the mix that is just right. The average person can't tell the difference between a well encoded LAMEmp3 and a wav/FLAC anyways. Most don't even have good enough speakers to tell the difference. Not that you will be able to hear anything much better in the mix because of the medium you use anyway. But that's just me because I record music all the time.
my hobbies are reading, listning to music, goin for walks, painting or drawing and swimming in the summer in between cleaning and keeping the house tidy of course.
Also collecting old school records of obscure soul, funk, jazz funk (expensive passion too) and mixing from time to time, just for pleasure. I've made one short movie, planning to make other, geez that's expensive too to some extent ahaha... I like walking in Paris, visit places, arts in general... I'm the sensible otaku kind of guy.
I used to practice KENDO, but as I lost my job and it's rather expensive I had to quit it... Boy how I miss it
Besides everything I do involving video games, I love doing SCCA racing, offroading, photography, archaeology, reading, riding motorcycles, working on cars, working on electronics, traveling, hiking, camping, and playing Magic the Gathering. Sometimes I think I have too many hobbies.
Surfing. Kinda opposite ends for me lol. Ohh also smoking the ganj which I enjoy alot while doing both my hobbies.
I have a mighty fine collection of Fountain Pens, haha. I put almost all the money i can into getting new pens. It's an interesting thing to collect. I'm currently saving up for a Visconti Alchemy, which can be seen here http://www.pensinasia.com/alchemy_1038_edition_fp-visconti.htm It's too bad they're generally about $2,000-3,000 USD. And theres only 1038 of them world-wide.
I play instruments(Guitar for four years, self thaught, piano for four years with private teacher, bass for two years, self thaught and drums for five years, self thaught) and make techno music on my free time and DJ:ing on random parties. I also write stories. I have i think more than ten published on other sites since 2005 when I started writing and a huge ammount not published. I also watch alot of animé, manga and occasionaly talking to my other half(my significant other). I also spend my time stalking people and breathing down their necks, doing creepy stuff behind their back.
I used to like collecting rare bottles (had to quit it when I ran out of space). Anyways, here's my list: Camping & trekking, kinda runs in my family (I must be one of the few outdoorsy geeks out there) Economic theory and history, business administration too albeit is kinda boring but these days you must learn this stuff Entrepreneurship and startups, been working on a couple for a while now. Listening to music, a whole lot of genres Reading novels (graphic ones too) Going to museums Trying out to new restaurants And walking/running with my irish setter (I'll post a pic of her later)
