So it happened, I have the worst sickness known to the male population: The common cold. I feel horrible, my body aches, my nose is sore, and frankly I think I may not make it until tomorrow. It's really that bad *haaa-choo*.

I will probably play some Tropico 5 tonight so it feels like I'm on vacation. Hope the controls aren't too bad, haven't even unwrapped the game yet.

LittleBigPlanet is surprisingly good to play when sick.

It's peaceful nature is soothing and induces sleep to expedite a healthy recovery.

Long-play and puzzle games: FF8, Persona 3, Lumines, and Tetris are great too.

How long must one play LittleBigPlanet to get into it? Played it about 15 minutes at a friend's place and wasn't quite feeling it. Is it love or hate at first sight, or does it grow on you?

It has a slow pace. The game itself has a lot of challenges but it's more about the custom level design than anything else.

^ this music sums up the experience well

Why isn't Jack Johnson singing in this?!

    Also, FFVIII? Excellent choice.

Absolutely. FF8 was my first PS1/non-2D game. Jumping from SNES and Genesis to that game's opening cinematic was mind-blowing. The complexity of it, the general idea behind frequently 'saving' progress.. all of it was completely alien at the time. Even still, it's one of my most favorite games.
