While they weren't faithful to the physics of the original, I felt a nostalgic rush playing those segments. It was just nice to see Nintendo acknowledge the past, I found the game enjoyable but even more so for all of us that have been on board since the beginning. I couldn't help but smile when I had to save Pauline on that tower. I felt like the 8 bit parts were a fan service, unlike every time Sonic Team attempts to do sonic 2D, which feels more of an insult. I think the Switch will only continue to impress. If they can continue this level of quality in their releases and 3rd party support continues to grow I can see it getting close to Wii sales.

DDIV is fantastic, one of the best beat 'em ups in years. I'll say again what I mentioned in another thread; I don't know what disappointed people were expecting, they went for a NES-style DDII sequel and delivered above and beyond exactly that. It has quite a few levels, an endless survival mode, modern or retro soundtrack, and the ability to play any mode in the game with every single fucking character. I can throw $7 in the garbage and not miss it. I guarantee if they shoehorned this into a real NES cart and charged 7 bucks for it people would shit and rub it in their hair.

I'm also a little lost. No matter, I guess.

I'm waiting to see what kind of deals we'll see with the Switch for Black Friday and Cyber Monday. I've tried to avoid screenshots, videos and play throughs so as long as I can continue doing that I don't mind waiting.

i havent played it, but im following a series of gameplay of it on youtube, and i must say it looks nice to own. would be fun to play it.... seems quite easy too - gettin moons is easy but the visuals are beautiful and the game seems quite long .

i might not get it , maybe one day if im well established, and think of buyin a switch, but atm im fine.

I don't know if it was just my playthrough, but that doesn't really happen until a fair way into the game.

As long as it happens haha. I've played through pretty much every Mario up to this point so I'm sure they'll be enough to keep me going until a get to that point. I'm keeping my eyes open for a solid sale so I can get started ASAP.
