Just wondering what everyone likes. I'll give my Top 3, as I don't think the others warrant a mention.

For me since I haven't played my 360. So, normal chart toppers like Mass effect, bioshock, etc won't be on here. Still I think each of these deserves a look

    1. Grand Theft Auto 4
    10 of 10, a perfect game

    2. Scene It? Lights, Camera, Action
Weird choice I know, but I enjoy this to the max every family get together. Its not a hardcore game, but I have just as much fun with it. Anyone can play, and it sure as hell beats the shit out of any of the Wii Sports in my opinion.

It saves your questions, so questions rarely repeat and its just plain fun. If you got 4 people to play with definitely pick up the sequel to this (as it's coming out soon).

    3. Kameo
Seriously under-rated, this is an awesome game. I don't care what anyone says this is classic Rare, and it sorta reminds me of fable. Watch the video review and it'll convince you to pick up. You can probably get it for close to 5 bucks.

    Arcade Games

    1. Pacman: CE
    2. Castle Crashers
    3. Worms HD (I hate that they took out a ton of the weapons, but its still worms)

    Top 3 eh?

    1. Lost Odyssey - Because its like, one of the best JRPGs ever. Nothing even compares in so far as character developement. And the short stories are . Really takes that medium to a whole new level.

    2. Raiden Fighters Aces - Collection of the Raiden Fighters series? Fuck yes please. Also, the collection is AMAZINGLY well done. Just a great release all together.

    3. Halo 3 - 'Cuz... I love the single player campaign and I generally have a blast online when I play it.

    XBLA:
    1. Scramble - Its what I play the most on there for some reason. I love the enhanced graphics version.

    2. Space Giraffe - Insanely good if you understand how to play it.

    3. Marble Blast Ultra - An amazing little game that too many over look. It is addictive as hell.

    1. Halo 3
    - I've played at least a couple matches a day since this game was released. I can't stop playing. I try playing other online shooters and always come back to Halo.

    2. Lost Odyssey
    - Easily the best RPG I've ever played. 75 hours well spent. The characters, story, visuals, everything. Just a wonderful gaming experience.

    3. Bioshock
    - I love this game. Everyone should play it once (or twice). It looks amazing, it plays amazing, and it sucks you into it's awesome world with it's spectacular atmosphere.

    Honorable Mentions:
    Crackdown
    Shadowrun
    Orange Box
    Rock Band

    XBLA

    1. Geometry Wars
    - No surprise here. You can play this game forever. In my opinion, one of the prettiest games on the 360.

    2. Castle Crashers
    - Totally awesome. Nuff said.

    3. Puzzle Fighter
    - Really addicting. And cute, too!

X360 = Console sales aside, clear winner this generation in my honest opinion.

EDIT: I'm hoping Fallout 3 and Fable 2 will move in to the #2 and #3 spot respectively. :)

tough question. this gen i haven't had the time to sink my teeth deep into any games more than the occasional quicky - hence the Wii has won me over, mainly due to multiplayer, Super Smash , Galaxy and No More Heroes.

I did enjoy Kameo alot on the 360 - it felt very n64ish.

I liked Prey, and Viva Pinata seems to be good fun. Oblivion is amazing but needs a lot of time invested and PGR3 is certainly a very balanced racing game. Can't really say i have favourites on the 360 though, although gears of war was a lot of fun to play while it lasted!

Again if you looking for good multiplayer on the 360 try Scene it and Castle Crashers, great games for 4 people. Scene it is a totally blast.

I'd have to grudgingly admit to liking Gears as well. It's such a tired setting and the dialogue is beyond awful, but the gameplay is excellent and it's a very polished game. Crackdown surprised me by being utterly addictive and really good fun. Bioshock delivered aesthetically, but the gameplay didn't do it so much for me - it delivers so strongly on the atmosphere, though, that it makes up for it. I'm kind of surprised nobody has mentioned Portal yet, since it's a masterpiece.

    XBLA:
Puzzle Fighter, even if it is a pretty rough port. Braid, for the ingenious puzzles and a beautiful visual style. I also really enjoyed playing through Doom on ultraviolence again.

    In no particular order.

1 - Lost Oddysey - Im not too far in but already its the best RPG ive played in years.

2 - Gears of War - generic storyline aside, the only game ive ever played online as much as gears is the UT series.

3 - Skate - Will make you never want to play a Tony Hawk game ever again. This game is not about points, it all about style. The dual analog control scheme is perfectly executed, and is a blast to use. The THE MOST ADDICTING game ive played in a LOOOOONG time.

XBLA MAKES the 360 for me. I think Space Giraffe is one of if not THE worst game ever made though.

XBLA you got Ikaruga, Soul Calibur, Trigger Heart, Rez......it's like Dreamcast Express right there plus Panzer Dragoon Orta and Shenmue 2 are BC and outrun 2 plus online VF5.

but my top 3 also in no real order

    1. Ninja Gaiden 2- I downloaded mission mode last week and it's 12 kinds of awesome and the Game is AMAZING the 100+ ninja Fight in Chapter 10 blows my mind.

    2. Rock Band- I play this with friends and it's always a good time. ALWAYS.

    3. Soul Calibur IV- Yoda and star wars bullshit aside this is the best entry in the series since the first one. Even if Namco did trick me into buying DLC I already unlocked.......shady bastards....

Ridge Racer 6 is also all kinds of Awesome and for whatever reason Outrun 2 Looks BETTER running on 360 than it did on XBOX.

But like I said XBLA MAKES the 360 and really the 360 IS the Dreamcast 2.

    I'll take....

    1 - Bioshock

    2 - Gears of War

    3 - Orange Box

But I'm not much of an XBox man though. I did enjoy those three though.

1 Forza 2 Definitly the best simulation racer for me, controls way nicer then GT5 prologue and has a boatload of customisation

2 Halo 3 Best online FPS on the 360, singleplayer was a bit short with wonky story bits but it doesn't make the game any less good

3 GTA IV Well not much to say about it because it's just a great game

if a game gives me a migrane it's terrible.

Only 2 games have ever induced migranes. Space Giraffe and Mega man X6 (the music in one of the stages was so grating it induced a migrane)

With all due respect, it seems like it's your head that's to blame there, not the game.

You haven't yet said what you dislike about it other than migranes. Hate hate hate, how about you say something more substantial?

Control is horrible Visuals are aweful and distracting. It's a poor rip off of Tempest. It's ill designed. The music is horrible the achivements are impossible
I have no idea how to play it and even when I do attempt to do everything like whipping there like a 3 second lag.

    Yeah.....Minter's a hack.

A Tempest rip off from the guy who made Tempest eh?

Though Space Giraffe plays nothing like Tempest, so the fact that you said that only proves that you have absolutely no idea whats going on in Space Giraffe.

    And lag? What?

Ahhh you know, if a guy makes great fun video games for years then makes one turd it's not nice to focus on the turd. And Tempest 2000 was the sh*t in it's day. But yeah, after I first played Space Giraffe I completely forgot about it. Didn't want to play it again.

I'll be able to take this criticism a little more seriously if you go on to make great games for nearly thirty years. If you'd demonstrated some understanding of what he's accomplished in this time, I'd be more understanding. You might not like Space Giraffe (I maintain that you're just not very good at it, by your own admission you "have no idea how to play it") but to call the man a "hack" is arrogant and insulting. You don't know what you're talking about, and it shows.
