My DS which has never seen a ds game and only my flash2advance 10 times or so, my psps (well the slim was $20 so cant complain there) but i cant stand a handheld anymore but anyways someones buyin em for $250 tm so whooooop! whooooop!
Oh, another mistake was to buy a Gericom laptop, battery was more or less dead after 9 months (held only 15 minutes of energy), battery had 6 months warranty of course...
I remember buying Transformers: Beast Wars for PC. All you did was shoot at random objects that weren't even Transformers, and you had to be in beast mode or else you'd lose health all the time (I know there's an explanation for this in the show, but in the game you couldn't attack at all in beast mode). Overall, fucking horrible game, and even at a really low bargain price I felt ripped off. I'm sure there are other really bad buying mistakes I made, but can't think of them now.
Nintendo DS. At the time of buying I was really impressed with the hole concept. And I was certain after the much improved Mario 64 DS there would be more remakes! But alas there was none. Which is why I'm really uncertain if I'm gonna get the new 3DS because again remakes are on the launch line up....But is this just Nintendo trying to reel in buyers again? My DS though is most likely going to come out of retirement for the new Golden Sun though
By Christ that game was a shocker. Even as a kid, when anything violent was automatically ten times more fun, it was still just obviously terrible. At least, the Megadrive port was. Can't imagine the arcade game being much better.
Wow. Not to rub it in or anything but... $69+ for for Pit Fighter... Did they even give you good trade in value for it? My friend did the same thing. He ended up trading the game the same day back to the store.
I recently bought fallout 3 brand new (not goty eddition) for $20. then on the same day i bought the two expansion double packs for $20 each for a total of $60. two days later i found out i could have bought the game of the year eddition whitch has all five add ons for $40..
(Lemme just interpret the thread title a bit differently here ;-)) I've finally broken down and bought Minecrackft, which I just know will turn out to have been a really, really bad decision... So long, "social life" and "sleep", been nice knowing you!
First of all, I am surprised by how many people are saying their Nintendo DS! I love that bad boy! Also, SM64 wasn't the only "remake" for it, what about Resident Evil? Yes. Bought it with my 360, was surprised how shitty it was. 32 players online just grabbed at me back then I guess. Also, my worst buying mistake has to be the PS3, despite getting a $100 gift card with it, that thing was good for LPB and nothing more. Xbox 360 games far surpass PS3 games in my mind, with better game play and just a notch down in graphics. Who really puts graphics above game play ever?
One of the first generation Asus Eee PC's Using Linux was a chore and only made me appreciate Windows (and OSX) even more. Sold that crappy thing for a slight loss, but I was just glad to have it out of my sight. Ugh Linux.
When I was a kid for my birthday I choose MLB baseball for the NES over the most awesome toy ever. The USS Flagg.
Use Windows on the 1st generation eeePC and you'll see that it is even worse... the problem is the 1st gen eeePC, not Linux.
Agreed, Although I bought it recently and wasted like 170$ (already modded) and with 2 wiimotes, but still. I just played wii sports a bit, wanted to play taiko no tatsujin but it didn't start no matter what I tried. So yeah, wasted my money. Now I'll probably sell it for less than 150$
