I have a quick question, are there other places that i can get the 5V power for the Phantom Universal kit on a Model 1 Saturn? I have an early model with the power component on the top part of the shell and i was wondering if i can get power elsewhere of the 2nd pin on the underside of the PSU board, I just tried it and no luck (removed the kit and the Saturn was fine though so maybe it was just my wire if thats the only option). Thanks for any help

 

What was the Saturn experiencing when the phantom was installed?. was the boot animation playing in full?. Grabbing +5V under the CD drive is much more cleaner/stabler (+5V location for the CD drive should be in the installation guide). Did you happen by chance to take any installation pictures/videos?. I would be able the diagnose the issue much faster.

 

Thanks for the quick reply, I just checked out the installation guide and was able to find the 5V on the bottom of the CD drive. I think my mistake was totally that I was putting the flex cables upside down, totally goofed it but everything is working smoothly now, thanks a lot!
