    @Calpis

Ah, thanks for the explanation, now I see what VGPBuckA51 meant.
It goes without saying that I use my gaming screens in game mode and with every image improvement feature disabled - framemeister or not. Sure extra features make videos etc better but in gaming they are always in the way :)

Yeah it doesn't seem to make a difference analogue or digital as to how much lag. I run my lag tester through a HD Fury and test VGA if the TV has it, and in all cases so far it's been identical to HDMI.

Game mode however does usually make a difference, an improvement of 30ms on my set.

For reference, XRGB3 running in B1 mode has about 2ms lag, but good luck getting it working on more modern TVs, even if they have VGA to begin with.
Anchor Bay scalers like DVDO Edge, VP50 have 6ms lag, but picture quality is very poor compared to Framemeister when dealing with 240p.
You can run an Anchor Bay scaler with a XRGB3 for a very powerful setup with only around 8ms lag, but its clunky and doesn't work with all consoles (PC Engine, Sega Master System, Sinclair Spectrum all incompatible).

Apart from the above and old stuff like XRGB2 etc (that don't work on modern TVs usually) ALL other video processors on the market that have been tested have more input lag than the Framemeister.

Yakumo, if you're still selling them, can you PM me with the cost of a Framemeister and shipping to Australia? Thanks.

He says in his OP that postage is included in the price (the more expensive one is EMS).

Yes, I'm still selling them but they are out of stock at Micomsoft until the 15th. I'll have some more by then. I'm out all day today, just pooped on to the forum while I'm waiting outside for my son to finish in the toilet. I'll PM you tomorrow.

Yep, I guess he shouldn't have had the burger and curry. Normally he doesn't eat anything and it shows but yesterday he was eating everything in sight.

Yes, they will be shipped with the new firmware. This is why the Framemeister sold out at Micomsoft. They were probably getting rid of old stock so they could start selling models with the new firmware.

Question: I know you have the component to D connector cable, but do you happen to have an HDMI cable to DVI + Audio cable as well? If not, I assume they are easy to find over the internet? I ask because once I get the money, I plan to buy with the intention of running this on my 4:3 LCD PC monitor that only has DVI input. I'm hoping the XRGB can output various wide and standard screen resolutions.

I can get HDMI 2 DVI cables but they don't have any sound out. You'd have to buy another separate cable for the audio.

Does the Framemeister have audio out? Or would I need to split it from the HDMI out port?

^ no, there is no audio-out port sadly... I just modded the RGB adapter to include a stereo 3.5mm female jack and pick the audio before it reaches the framemeister

Yes, I'm afraid that's what you'd have to do when going with DVI. I can get you a box the would take the HDMI signal then let you connect a DVI and audio out at the other end but they are not cheap at 11000 yen.

It'd probably be best to use something like an HDMI audio extractor and then an HDMI to DVI cable.

Bah... 3 cases of user error in a row the first time I tried to update its firmware.
Inserted the wrong SD card, it got jammed, then no longer recognized by my computer once physically forced out.

    So long DS roms.
