^ from what I understand it's the time that the sync will remain "alive" on the framemeister: for example if you raise it enough you can power off the md, change game, power on and the framemeister will not go to black-screen and re-sync. That's my take on this.

That's actually quite handy I guess since that way you wouldn't miss the being of intros.

The way it seems to work, at least from what i've experienced, is that it leaves the window open for the signal to come back after it's been lost. Ideally, I'd like it to be more like 500 or 1000 ms, as that would help a lot. More testing needs to be done on it though.

Does anyone know if 1080p scalines was fixed? I cant seem to get a clear answer. Also im loving the ability to save profiles. It was my biggest issue with the FM.

If you use Smart x2 in 1080p you can get proper scanlines with the new firmware but obviously you get the same underscan as before (960 pixels vertical at best).

In other modes it's simply not possible as 1080 can't be cleanly divided by 240 which means pixels will have to be uneven height in order to scale it, which in turn makes scanlines uneven.

Yakumo - I'm plugging you as the best way to get a Framemeister in the Sega Collectors Facebook group. Thanks again!

Finally got round to dust off the old MSX and build a new RGB cable with (fake) stereo, here goes F1 Spirit, running in its full glory:

I haven't fiddled too much with scanlines, Framemeister mode looks weird probably due to the 288p resolution since my MSX is PAL, let me know if you have any tips :)

Thanks again Yakumo-san, the FM is really a little wonder that keeps giving :)

Your MSX is looking sweet right there! Probably these it's ever looked.

Oh yes, best image ever :) I forgot how much I love that little machine. I'm amazed that 30 years on it still works like a charm, rock solid.

You'd think so but stuff from Hong Kong to Japan takes longer than stuff from the UK to Japan. Very odd how the postal system works. I will say by this time next week you should be the pround owner of the best bit of kit a Retro gamer could want :) I've also updated yours to the latest 2.0 English language firmware.

You don't need anything special. It works in Canada and USA just fine. I should know, because I own one! :)

The new Framemister units all come with 100 to 240 volts power adapters. Even people in Australia and Europe will have no problems. All they'll need is a socket adapter :) I guess Micomsoft figured out that most of their sales come from overseas. Probably why they are so good with the English language firmware as well.

Just a little bump to let people know that Framemister units are still available with the all new English firmware.
