If enough people will be interested, soon, your brave forumite will post a report and photos of the concert, that was recorded by me and a friends in HD with 2 cameras. Maybe even a video of the concert might be hosted or shared.

    Post your interests.

While I'm not going to be going, it would be so awesome if he played some music from Blue Dragon. That game's soundtrack was phenomenal.

if everything goes smoothly, the requests are high enough, you might be able to dowload a 1080i Xvid file of the concert ;)

probably the first nobuo's HD concert ever :D

the video won't be too professional, maybe, i was in charge of close ups and "moving" shots, while my friend was working on static, long shots... my arm is still aching after yesterday :D

I'm very interested. He's done some really great music I like to listen to even outside their respective games.

i'm glad of this big interest. later today i'll post some pics and a report of the concert, time, and place.

by the way, thanks for the hosting offers. the HD xvid will probably be various GBs... :p for standard definition version i guess it'll be consistently smaller.

so stay tuned for a quick report soon, for what concern the video it might take some days, because my friend want to mix the 2 records we made at the same time, with the unamplified test run they made the day before and with the 2nd concert too (yes he watched both concerts + test run!)

    Update N°1

First of all the report of the concert.

in 28/10/07 the orchestra "I Nostri Tempi",

performed for the "Nobuo Uematsu SHOW" in Florence, in the historical place called "fortezza Da Basso". The sales of the tickets were good enough that the organizators had to "split" the show in 2 different concerts, the first one (the one i attended) that started at 19:30 is said by organizators to have had an attendance of 3000 people. More people are supposed to be present at the second one.

The tickets went for 30 euro, a reasonable, but a little high price.

The tracks chosen for the event were:

    01 FFVII ’’Opening~Bombing Mission’’(04’30’’)
    02 FFVIII ’’Liberi Fatali’’(03’38’’)
    03 FFX ’’To Zanarkand’’(03’35’’)
    04 FFVI ’’Tina’s theme’’(05’17’’)
    05 FFI~III Medley(08’42’’)
    06 FFIV ’’Theme of Love’’(05’18’’)
    07 BLUE DRAGON ’’Main Theme’’(03’20’’)
    08 BLUE DRAGON ’’Waterside~for Piano and Orchestra’’(03’30’’)
    09 LOST ODYSSEY ’’Main Theme’’(04’15’’)
    10 FFVII ’’Aerith’s Theme’’(05’50’’)
    11 FF ’’Final Fantasy’’(03’20’’)
    12 FFVII ’’One Winged Angel’’(06’30’’)

All the concerts were at the presence of Nobuo Uematsu himself, that at the end of both the performances went on stage for a small talk and offered a TINY autograph session.

The attendance was polite enough during all the concert time even tought many young girls and boys were present; in the end Nobuo complimented on the warm attendance and nice performance from such young players.

This is all for what concerns the "newspaper-like" infos... probably tomorrow i'll post the personal impressions, critics, the good and the bad, and some extra pictures and a couple of funny stories and pics of nobuo uematsu!

Keep posting here to raise the interests, and feel free to ask questions about the event!

Video of this would be awesome, even if you had to torrent it due to size.

later i'll give some other pics, and personal remarks, as i stated :)

for what concern videos, i had a talk with my friend, and he said that a teaser might come up soon, but the full video will take some extra time due to his need to work on 4 hours of HD video and 4 different kinds of shots... anyway it'll be torrented for sure; probably we'll seed 2 different versions:

    DVD ISO
    and HD Xvid

when the time to seed and keep the torrent open will come i'll warn you all!

    Personal Remarks

So now for my personal view on the event.
    starting from the BAD.

The organizators chose Firenze, and Fortezza da Basso; the choice is not bad for the place is quite near to the railway station, but they had the awful idea to have the concert at the same time as other shows, so the traffic jams were awful all around the place. Also finding a place to park the car was next to impossible even in places for pay.

Another bad remark is about the structure in which the concert was held. The original place was not allowed to be used due to some safety concerns so they moved everything to a Giant stand. So acustic couldn't be perfect no matter what.

    Now for the GOOD.
At first by seeing the orchestra i had some doubts due to the great amount of young musicians... well i was surprised by how greatly and by what enthusiasms the players showed (probably many of those playing were Final Fantasy fans too :D). So they added to a perfect execution a rare extra called enthusiasm.

Another good mark was the amplification of the concert, that in such a great Hall, that was not at all studied for concerts, managed to give quite a great experience to the public.

The public, even tough filled with many teenagers, behaved well, during all the concert except at the end of "liberi Fatali" in wich the applauses covered the last few notes of the song (the ones after a small silent pause).

    Now for some funny stories:

When Uematsu entered the hall at the first time, he was so suddenly and so fast reaching his place that nobody managed to take pics of him! So all the people rushed to take some when he sat, but the bodyguards didn't allow anyone to get close.

So one guy behind me shouted him something like "Uematsu, aishiteru!" That if my old japanese lessons help me mean "uematsu, i love you" So he turned around with his ?son? laughing and looking at the guy that shouted. It was something like 3 seconds but i was fast enough to take a picture of him laughing.

on the left from Uematsu you can see his interpreter, on the right his son (i was told so).

After the concert ended the maestro had a SHORT autograph session for few lucky people. The amount of people pressing for getting one was enormous and gave great problems to the bodyguards.

In this picture you can see Nobuo signing a T-shirt (that i don't have :( ) That was gifted only to those ones that bought both a ticket for the Jamming session (on the 27th) and concert.

In the end thanks to my friend Bahamuttone (couldn't be pushed away by bodyguards thanks to his 130 kgs...), even your proud forumite had his moment of glory...

First Cd of Final Fantasy VI signed by Uematsu! Note the tiredness in the look, and the overgrown beard :D (ok maybe it's not the concert fault :D )
