Is there a way to pirate DLC that's already on the disc? I mean, unlock it without paying for it again? It's a joke what they do these days with DLC. I mean, the game cost a lot in the first place. Back in the days of the Saturn and Dreamcast, Capcom ruled with fine games filled with extras but now.....

I have no problem paying for a game but having to pay for stuff that is already on the disc that I paid for is a joke and it's not a funny one. It's like buying a new car then having to pay extra to take wheel clamps off the wheels then a bit more for them to unlock the engine.

See people, this is what happens when you mix SCAMCO and Crapcom. Personally, I wasn't really interested in this game anyway, but now I'm definitely not.

"But...but...it's their game, so they can do whatever they want with it. Uh... it's on the disc so people can play with other users who purchased it. And uh... it optional and you're still getting the full game, so quit complaining!"

Seriously, how stupid are gamers these days? I can't people are actually trying to defend this. If it's on the disc, then it was DEFINITELY made along with the rest of the game, and people should not have to pay a cent in order to unlock it. Do yourselves a favor, and DON'T buy the DLC. Put the money towards a JTAG 360, and download the DLC over the internet. This isn't piracy, it's getting what belongs to you in the first place. If you own the disc, you own what's on it. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

there are guys already hacking the game to play those locked characters right now the process is complicated has it involves changing files inside the disc and so on, but there are already videos on youtube showing those locked characters ingame.

You've got to realize that although the fighting game market has seen a resurgence compared to 5-6 years ago but that the market is oversaturated again with lower revenue coming in so developers need to have a post-release plan to help budget the game's cost.

What's better, having the game developed and released or nothing at all?

In the old days extra characters could be unlocked by playing the game well. This was a pain for poor players but at least it gave an goal to aim for. At least Namco have done this with Soul Calibur V. I would have been really pissed if all the character making items were DLC. I bet they thought of that though.

As of right now, the only way to use the DLC characters is to mod the game by replacing an already unlocked character with a locked DLC character. Seems kind of complicated, so it's probably best to just wait for Capcom to sell the unlock DLC and "pirate" that.

Capcom only disapoints me more and more....
This week they said the wants to release more "Resident Evils" on the 3DS. Da f**k. They already released 2 in less than the first year, how many more that "Resident Evils" mean? at least 2 right? XP

I say to everyone to buy Capcom games used, so Capcom dont make money out this, and dont dare buy those DLCs on the disc.

    Pretty much what I'm saying.

but idiots still plan to buy this... I won't. I'll buy it when it's $20 used and Amazon has a sale on Microsoft points

I understand these are tough times for pretty much any game that's not a generic FPS, but that is no excuse for nickel and diming gamers. If they are losing money when they sell the game, then maybe they shouldn't put so much money into it. If a game isn't going to make $500k without ripping people off with locked on-disc DLC, then don't spend $500k making it. Basic economics. Why should Capcom, or fighting games as a whole, get special treatment?

And Capcom is wondering why it's revenues are down.

and My 360 is wondering why I'm spending more time on my Saturn.

Capcom is making the same mistake they made in the late 90's and early 2000's they are overflowing the market with fighting games. And pulling this shit only deteriorates the problem even more.

Poor wording on my part, but I didn't mean that Capcom spent $500k on this game. I meant that as a general term. If any company is not making X amount of money on their product, then they shouldn't spend X amount of money making it.

I think one of the problems its the games droping price to fast if they dont sell millions right away, so people see on the shelfs for half price after a month and think the game its garbage. Gamestop reselling used games like crazy and getting all the money from that to itselfs several times over the same copy dont help the developers either, so they try to put this things so the people who bought it used can at least give them a little money.

Im not saying they are right making this DLCs to justify something like that, but something must be made to the market itself or we will se atari crash all over again, and only a few will remain strong.

The current economy doesnt help either. But thats my toughs I wanted to share for some time now.

Hey, you should just be happy that they're putting them out as DLC instead of releasing Ultimate Street Fighter x Tekken!
