Shit that is ugly... But as long as it's more reliable and uses less power, that's the main thing. I didn't like the design of the PS3 Slim but have become used to it over time.
I just posted this in the E3 thread. Looks real to me and considering the banner links to the xbox site seems pretty confirmed. Looks pretty horrible I think.
That better not be real. It doesn't look like it can easily (or aesthetically) be put on its side. The pincushion look looks much nicer on the current 360 since it's curved, but the sharp angles on that look horrible.

Looking at it long enough, does anyone else think it looks like a Wii sitting in an overly tall base?
I don't see any USB ports on the front. I prefer wired controllers, so I wonder if they moved or removed them?
And Natal will be called Kinect Not sure if thats better than "wave"... About the new slim/ugly/(smaller?) X360, well at least with those vents it wont RROD like before, and it has wifi built-in. That, and I dont see it being slimmer or smaller that the original
So, Kinect it is then. Not too sure about the console re-design though, looks odd. I reckon that the HDD is internal and the faceplates are no longer changeable. Going by the size of the DVD drive, it doesn't look that much smaller thatn the current model.
God it's ugly, but I get the feeling the Modern Warfare 2/Halo Bros will eat this shit up. It looks like an alienware computer and the only people I've seen with those are typically trendy hipsters who want to feel special. Kinect is becoming even more unimpressive.
This design lends itself to standing upright.. People who prefer to lay it flat and who have OCD may not like it's non-symmetrical shape... A redesign is the perfect complement to the Kinect hardware... I wonder what longterm success of Kinect will be like, though. Microsoft loses more respect points if it doesn't put a huge discount on existing Wifi adapters for people with the current Xbox 360s. $50 is about as much as anyone should pay for it, ESPECIALLY now that the new console hardware has it integrated.
ppl always shout "omg ugly" when a redisgned/slim version of a console sees light of day, so they might all be just ignored. /me ignores Anyway, if there's really a redesigned Xbox360 comming out, and the pirce tag got some redesign as well this might be the point in time where I finally get one....
Man that is ugly!! The current 360 looks nice and if you get the latest models you'll also have no overheating problems. So get out there and buy an elite while you still can.
All hipsters I see use Macs, and wont even touch a PC. The only time I've seen people using alienware is the 3rd season of big bang theory, and this guy I know at college who got one on the basis that "if wolowitz has one, then these must be good" Ergo, product placement works...
