Can't believe that it's still not using a slot loading DVD drive. This really doesn't strike me as that much of a hardware redesign, more a case of "let's put a shit load of holes in the case and hope that keeps it cool".
ugly no usb no memory card no bluray or hddvd no slot loading DVD drive also look like old proto xbox 360
I bet Microsoft is mega pissed about this. I heard a rumor its gonna cost 120 dollars? Anyone else heard that?
I've never been a fan of the current Xbox 360 case design. This one looks like it has taken a drop, lol.
I think the price for new xbox is $250 dollar you get 250gb harddrive HD cable + HDMI cable 1 control pad
I first thought "That shit is NOT slim" then I realized the slim designation is something *we* (consumers) made up under speculation. I think open heart surgery is more fun than speculation. And I need some of the former.
It looks like someone went "Hmm... I need to come up with a new design for the 360 slim, but I don't have a lot of time... Ah, I know what to do! (Drops 360 on the floor). This will be perfect! (Runs to show managers the bent up looking 360)"
I actually like the look bar that diagonal line running across it. If that wasn't so prominent then it would look ok. Anyway more news here: http://www.engadget.com/2010/06/14/slim-xbox-360-gets-official-at-299-shipping-today-looks-angul/
I think it looks kind of funny because they designed it so that the exhaust port runs at the edge of the angle. It gives the odd perception that they dropped two 360's on the floor, cut them in half, then decided to hobble together a new box from it. I know that's not true at all, but it's just how it looks like on first impression (^_^);
Wow $300,bigger hdd, built in wifi. I like. I think I might be upgrading in the future. Also at the conference they showed the two side by side standing up and the new one is shorter.
Judging by the power plug is the power supply internal now? If it actually has an internal power supply and still runs cool. It actually might be a decent upgrade despite the ugly case.
Still has an external power unit, 135 watt and a new designed plug. Can't wait to see it ripped apart.
