Kinda dissapointed in it actually. I was expecting more out of next gen, especially from capcom. Some screens of the Lost Planet demo I whipped up: Even with the interlacing apparent in some of the screens you can still see low poly models :\ Not sure if its this gen or what but PR screens vs user screens show huge discrepencys. Ah well. C'est la vie. Maybe you should check out the MotoGP demo. It looks pretty. I didn't really play enough of it to tell you how good/bad the gameplay is though... I don't really like racing games if they don't involve shells of varying colors.
Is that running in High Def Dot? Huge difference right now. Plus factor in the game isnt do out for many many months, and its quite nice Edit: Plus, it IS capcom. Have they restarted Lost Planet yet? I figure it should be do soon lol
So everyone here complains that we shouldn't keep pushing GFX, but gameplay. Then a game comes along with mediocre graphics and everyone complains? Actually I think the last shot is very nice indeed. You need to remember that most next gen games are not shown from payable camera angles, this is. The PS3/360 is not as powerful and a good PC with a nice gfx card, so it's not really fair to compare them on that level
well we only say that graphics dont matter because we like nintendo.:110: Actually one must complain about the graphics in analogy to the system's capabilities. I accept that being "high-end" doesn't matter that much compared to the gameplay (i was playing sonic 1 today on the genesis for example), but if you have the hardware and its the type of console that brags about its graphics, not having nice visuals is like taking the essence out of the whole idea.
I think I might wait awhile for games to improve in the x360 before going ahead with a purchase. the ps3's games look pretty good so far and the the Wii's innovation look interesting - those will probably be my first two nex gen systems. there's some games on x360 that look impressive, but you have to realize the amount of work it takes to achieve attractive gameplay, and even the detail in this game is impressive when you start to think about the level of time, work, and money the developers have invested. it blows my mind everytime I think about 3D game development. I've done some programming in my time, but never to such a degree as intense as console games. impressive *Concura

The XBox360 suffered from the fact that the final dev kits weren't ready until almost launch day and so the first batch of games are pretty weak graphically. Project Gotham 3 looks barely better (and in many places worse) than GT4, except perhaps in the in-car view. No doubt by the time the PS3 is released things will be more impressive and compareable. I was impressed by the Lost Planet trailer immensely. Is it available as a downloadable demo now?
The beautiful thing is... this game is still over a year away. Actually, that kinda makes me sad since I want it now.

The thing about the gameplay that bothers me is its still run and gun. The AI was uninspiring, so i just kept running and shooting and had no problem. Obviously, i respect that there are months to go before the game is released heh
I just DLed the video you posted. The graphics are good looking, but not what I would expect from a next gen console. YET, this is a demo correct? I figure this is of course to give the player an idea of what's ahead. There are plenty of details the developer will improve. The gameplay seems really smooth and fun.
I can tell you compared to Moto 3 on Xbox it looks fantastic. But don't expect too much. That was my last game at THQ before I left (I nailed over 600 bugs on it, if that says anything.)
Ugh the moto gp game is terrible. It sure looks nice but the controls are the suck! Im having fun with Burnout Revenge though Fantastic game! Also, dont buy Perfect Dark Zero. Really awful game, I wasted 60$ on it :\ Edit: I forgot to add this, I went to the store and let my 360 download the Test Drive demo..Well it disconnected from Live of course, which seems to be the norm now. It usually takes about 50 retries (no lie) in order for it to complete. Not sure what the hell thats all about but it seems to be an issue affecting lots of people. Anyway, I got home and look whats there to greet me when I turn the tv on: Im guessing this is what ive been hearing about, where if your downloading and the "screen saver" comes on, it corrups the screens graphics until you move the controller. It seemed fine, but like I said it stopped my download :\ Ive also got a Disk Read Error, which lost progress on my Burnout game OH:
