Interesting. I would have thought the accelerated version would have looked better. I would imagine the software version would've run pretty slow at the time, however, unless you had a very fast CPU.

Not really, i remember playing some of those games on 486DX4-100 and it was quite fast.

    Awesome stuff indeed mate!

When I see things like this it makes me imagine how good the Saturn could look if it could be rendered in such resolutions compared to it's standard low res on the console. Heck imagine an emulator that could truly rescale and up the resolution. The thought of NiGHTS, Burning Rangers etc in such HD resolutions looking so sharp and smooth makes me drool...

Also software mode does look a lot better imo!

    Thanks for the support :)

It is unfortunate that only 5 games ever came out with support for the NV1, as it is pretty cool to play Saturn games with the genuine Saturn controller on the PC. The card had a bracket with 2 saturn controller ports. One game that looks better and really runs well on the NV1 is Panzer Dragoon. That game rocks with the controller in your hand, the awesome soundtrack playing and ofc the increased graphic also helps :) Will do a video of that game sometime, hopefully soon.

Another episode is out: Nascar Racing (Nvidia NV1, Matrox Millennium and software)

Back from some vacation and finally a new episode is up. This time it's a obscure very early DirectX (Windows95) game called HAVOC from Reality Bytes. It was released in 1995 to show of the greatness of DirectX and Windows95 gaming capabilities. If you are curious to know more about the game, then I recommend the review I've linked to in my videos description field.

This episode looks at the S3 Virge version (exclusive for acceleration) against software.

Wow, very nice. Are you a member at Beyond3d forum? Those guys would be all over these videos. Is it okay if I make a thread there about this? :) (I´ll let you do it yourself if you prefer)

Ofc I will do more. Thanks for the support :)

Here is the newest episode - RESIDENT EVIL
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2LVfam6w1o

Showing Direct3D and PowerVR versions for the PC. I have also included some footage from the Playstation version.

Can a moderator or administrator please remove "- Virtua Cop" from the thread title? This thread have turned into more than just about that episode/game.

wouldn't mind seeing a comparison of the various Mechwarrior 2 releases (3dfx, mystique, ati, s3, powervr, 3drave), I've heard the mystique had the best port but I have no idea where my mystique card is tat his point / yet alone the hardware to install it.

I saw the new Destruction Derby video this morning, awesome job. I can't wait for Destruction Derby 2 on the Matrox Mystique. Man that and its version of Mechwarrior 2 blew everything else away. I wish I had kept at least that video card for a 90s game box, but I guess it wasn't that fast with the later 3D accelerated games.
