All we know is that the publisher won't throw more money at them. But I almost hope they will go bankrupt, that way we will get our hands on atleast a beta in some form (after a while, by some ex-employee).
Man, this really has to suck for the fans that were waiting all that time. Then again I think almost everyone became uninterested after the first five years.

some company should buy shenmue and duke nukem ip's, and release shenmue 3 together with duke nuke forever.. wait, maybe indiana jones...
after reading my last post, i think this is the worst post ever at the assemblergames.com forums. i'm sorry.
No, this sounds like an awesome idea. I choose to interpret it as meaning tha tyou want Shenmue and Duke Nukem Forever all mixed into one game. "Damn, I'm gonna get the alien assholes that blew up my father...but not until I wander around aimlessly talking to people for awhile."
I'm far more interested in the prototypes than the final game. Hopefully they'll start floating around. At least the game will be passed off to someone who might actually finish it.
I just want to play that damn E3 demo they showed a long time ago, that and the one where they used a Doom3 like engine...
It's really sad, but still, like other people said before, they haven't done any new games since prey in 2006, I know the have done some re-releases such as XBOX Live Duke Nukem. But i can't say I'm not sad because I loved their games, and I will miss them.
Worst thing is I read that they were actually 90% done with the game when the plug got pulled. Like, for reals. :-(
