I would kill for this collection.... This is my favorite collection in all of assembler, besides the fact its so much everything in it is modded to its full potential.

    I want that nintendo64 stuff!

Isn´t correct to say, you can upgrade the ram to 128 megabytes on the Amiga thanks to the zorroslots ?

Sir, check this out. It has something to do with upgrading your blizzard cards to extreme speeds.

    http://www.acube-systems.biz/eng/news.php?id=28

Shiggsy had his tape thingy on his site. If it isn´t there anymore. Then I don´t know what it was. But Consolefun what is next, modding a C64 or a C128 ? Heck, the cool parts of C64/128 modding is . You can mod them like crazy and put two SID chips in them and other stuff. And the modding scene in the C64/128 department has been huge at least some years ago. Maybe there are still sites where you can see those mods. Heck, you just need to use "C64 mods" in google without the brackets, and then you are happening from page one.

Thx LEo! At some point I really want to add digital audio output to many of the consoles as well. Great info over at gamesx as you might have seen.
In theory I think the max RAM in i.e. an Amige 4000 is approx:
    - 128 MB (fastmem) on an accelerator board in the CPU slot (256MB for accelerators in the A1200 expansion port)
    - 16MB (fastmem) onboard the A4000 motherboard
    - 1792 MB (fastmem) on Zorro III expansion boards
    - 2MB (chipmem) onboard the A4000 motherboard
    = almost 2GB

Few, if any, Zorrow III expansion boards can have more than 128MB though. So in pratice, if one populate all the four Zorro III slots in an A4000 with 128MB each, one should be able get at least 658MB (more with bus expansion boards that give you more Zorro III slots in a tower case).

Having said that, the Amiga mainboard is pretty slow compared to whats local on any accelerator card. So i.e. a Cyberstorm accelerator can access RAM on the accelerator board at about 50MB/s, while RAM on the Zorro III bus would be accessed at about 18MB/s. (The Zorro III bus is a lot faster than 18MB/s, but the implementation in the Amiga 4000's onboard Buster chip is a bottleneck. DMA transfers between two Zorro III cards can be a lot faster.)

So the upper limit for really fast fastmem on an accelerated system would be 128MB as you say (or 256MB in the A1200).

Very nice that they repair and upgrade PPC cards. They cost a small fortune and gets damaged quite easily due to heat issues. If you put one of those Blizzard PPC cards in a desktop A1200 it will become very hot :)

The extra speed will be nice for AmigaOS 4 :)

I got quite a few projects, but I might take you up and that mate ;) Don't know when I'll find the time, but I plan to post some C64 and Amstrad CPC photos....

Nice to finally see a collection of consoles the owner is well acquainted with. I tire of seeing the "hey look at this huge pile of crap I've accumulated!" When it comes to hardware, it must be opened and messed with :icon_bigg

I heard of the Wonder Wave a long time ago; it's for wireless comms with a PocketStation? Do you know which games used this and have any examples of how it was used please?

I've never seen an unofficial WonderSwan flash cart before. Do you have the official Wonder Witch kit?

    Hey!

Sorry for the late feedback guys (crazy week).

Petit-Prince, thanks for the kind words. I really like our LE collection as well mate! In July I hopefully have some to time to snap and post photos of new stuff.

Undamned, yeah, from financing to modding; it's a lifestyle.

_SD_, the Wonder Wave appears only to be supported by a couple of Digimon and SD Gundam games. I got one with a SD Gundam G-Generation game. I do not really fancy those games, so the motivation hasn't really been there to check it out yet. AFAIU the Wonder Wave transfer savegame data to/from a Pocket Station, that can be used with corresponding PlayStation games. I would guess that there also are PocketStation games could enable game features in the savegame data (Pocket Digimon World - Wind Battle is known to support the Wonder Wave).

As for the Witch, I am afraid I only got the Magic.

    Cheers!

the collection is just amazing really.

    <--- speechless

    now...
i ran into this picture and since i've continuously been putting off modding my snes and i don't really know anything about it, would you care to give me a few details about the CD ROM thing ?

is it some sort of dev item, or some sort of "play ROMs from CD" or what, also, how many kidneys do i need to sell to get one ?

    Hey mate!!

I have 10-15 new items that I would like to add.
Nothing spectacular, but not GameStop stuff either.
Hopefully I will find time later this summer....

    Hey!

The DiskDual add-on for the SWCDX2 lets you load files from HD or CDROM. Ask ffe@ms3.hinet.net for a quote. The SWCDX2 64M should be about 210 USD, and DiskDual should be about 150 USD.

    So, one kidney should do....

    Thx Peach!

    ouch...

well... only reason i need a way to load backups on my SNES would be to play the translated rom of front mission on real hardware so that price range is a bit out of me i guess :p

thanks for the reply tho, i'll put the mail in a safe place incase i win the lottery or something :p

and before someone suggest me to use an emulator, that's not an option :p
im that type of a person that i'll rather just don't play the game than resort to emulation

i must admit tho that it is a tempting thing. Im a bit of an oddball when it comes to me and my hardware and even the idea of having a CD drive equipped SNES is gonna give me some sweet dreams ^.^
