Hey buddy, as usual and as you know, you can count on Kammedo for that service free of charge, and we all know he can be trusted considering he has backups of other Beta DD titles that have never been seen in the wild =) Give me a PM if you need anything or any advice on negotiations.
I am in discussions with Assembler on how to progress, and really thats all I can say. There is many issues here. Legal, safety, damage to relations with contacts inside japan etc.. I appreciate all your help guys, and advice and pm's, and I will chat with yourself barcode, and kammedo, when I get the time, but it really is touchy at the minute, and I appreciate everyone's kind suggestion's etc.. but I have to protect people's intrest's here, and the community's, so please give me time to sort out things with Kevin, my contact, and then I will talk to the people I need too, and the community will be updated after that.
What I would state is that there is mistrust of a non-Japanese and a disinterest in money by the party who possesses it. As you know many game companies still offer long term employment in Japan. A bad reputation will get you blacklisted as well. This is now a slow and patient effort, with a time line of years.
well at least let's point out the media degradation and the need to preserve data of that piece of story.
I'd imagine this one might not go through due to the owners occupation. To be honest if there was a video or possible pics of the game in action id be satisfied.
The seller has decided to keep the game, and not sell to any party, and whilst this news is taking us back a step, I have knowledge of the game and it's development itself, and I now know that the owner of the disk has not sold, and we will be informed if the title is going to be up for sale. I cannot divulge the devlopment details at p[resent, as I am now trying to get some picture/video evidence, to back up my knowledge of the devlopment of the title, and why it was not released and why Nintendo could only presnt the Master quest code in the GC release. I feel that I could jeapordise relations by going in anywhere else and delivering information at this time. However hope remains, and while timeline could now be years, simply because it is unsafe for the party to release the title due to employent in the industry, that we will be able to getthe exclusive on the title, so I think it is wise to keep this in the 0th bit until no hope reamins. I thank you all for you comments, and will be trying extremely hard to bring, evidence with story shortly, sorry if I raised expectations too high that release of the title was imminent, this was not my intention guys.
Lol, no need to apologise. We all appreciate any effort made by anyone in search of anything like this! (Well most of us..there's always the odd knobber) Happy hunting for the future!
Hmm.. I'm disappointed the buyer backed out. I was really hoping this would go through. Well at least its not a complete fallout and maybe there's still hope. The effort on Nintendomad's part was very good and he deserves some applause . Its just such a shame that this could get lost forever. It was beyond nintendomads control
loweoqw'iojwqr's[o['psj ...sorry that was me banging my head against the keyboard. Alright let me throw this out there, is the seller not aware that his identity will be protected and any watermark can be systematically removed? And though he is not willing to sell the actual copy how about dumping the game if he is indeed in the game industry? Or is this all wishful thinking and I should just wait till 2012 for it? lol
From what I read on the japanese scene, stuff like this is closely tracked. So if someone were to get a hold of it, there is a good chance nintendo would know who sold it.
Just a quick question, how long exactly would be long enough, to where no one would care anymore? 5 years? 10? Is there a time limit on Non Disclosure Acts, or are they open ended?
Often a NDA will end when its subject becomes public knowledge (say people who knew about the iPhone before launch, they can talk about it once it is officially announced). Since the project was cancelled I would expect NDAs to still be in force, if they ever were. However I suspect a release would be treated as theft and copyright violation rather than just an NDA breach. Stone
NDAs can have time limits, but knowing Nintendo and how they are like Disney when it comes to their property, they'll sue your ass if you breach anything you signed on with them.
