I think everyone here is well aware of the Neo Myth cartridge...

What exactly are your intentions with telling us that it's $50 cheaper?

A bit higher pricing than I expected, but not unreasonable given that I'm sure it will be a high quality product. Might not be a day one purchase depending on my funds situation though

Hope the final cart label is more extravagant than plain white with text! As for Banjo Tooie, someone will probably hack it to run eventually.

Will the additional debugging feature require to do the DIY KµC mod on the console?

The NeoMyth is a piece of s*** ... the menu is awful, loading is slow, the tools are a pain in the a** and the developer rely on someone else to make updates.... that's just uncool.

    The menu is awful??? :-0
Have you ever seen the new N64 Neo Myth menu v2.2? It looks absolut fantastic and with Neo2 SD it even supports boxart images.

But you are right it was a long way to go...

Pretty sure marshall will just buy some cheapo 6102 games to pull CICs from, and that's included in the $199 price, or pay more to get a 6105 CIC put on, as those games are generally pricey.
At least that is what it sounded like from the benheck thread.

Neo Myth costs a fortune, plus you have to pay extra to be able to use an SD card.

It's the same price as this N64 cart. The only difference is if you want to use an SD card, you'll need to also get the Neo2-Pro GBA Flash/SD cart.

Isn't it another $70 for the SD card adapter? $270, that's crazy. I agree, $200 even for this one is too high for most people.

$90 for SD card adapter. So it comes a whopping 290 USD. Plus atrocious loading times.

Come on don't spam, the neo, cart is far from good. Is born ad developed in the most awful way that you can image.

The hardware design is ugly, why there are gba flash card for store rom??
why at the day 1 the cart was so stupidly buggy?
why I should buy another card for sd support?
why is slow as hell and takes 15 minutes to burn 64MB??
why the computer software is so buggy and for new releases it takes AGES?

The menu development is on ChillyWilly's hands, I respect his work, but as far as I know is voluntary work for someone that plans to earn money by selling awful flash cards. The menu is built, all the time, going around the desing flaws of neo cart. Sometime was needing to upgrade the core, that requires extra hardware to buy, for better performance.

And I say that as a tester.

You also need to buy a Nero Dual Programmer too if you want to update the Neo Myth firmware, which costs an extra $49. So the total for the Neo Myth actually comes to $319.

Yes and the Mr. Backup Z64 did cost $399 and couldn't even emulate flash saves.
There will always be progress. And thats a good thing.

Marshall is one of the most talented coders the N64 scene ever saw and I think we should pay our respect to him by not turning his topic into a flame war.
Buy what ever flashcart you like most but don't disrespect others if they have a different opinion.

Lol, We all should know the limits of the neomyth cart if we are here
The cost and limits on storage should be reason enough to move on.

Gotta stop feeding the trolls guys :p

I think 200 USD is reasonable...I would hate to pay that much, and then in 2 months another hardware revision...!
