I don't know WHAT the fuck is wrong with eBay but reporting doesn't do SHIT worth anhmore. Look at the fucker selling PA and Half-Life on eBAy. Numerous people from DCH alone have reported him but the bastard continues unabated; he's already made over 200.00 pounds off the CDRs.

Look at his feedback and you get "got what I paid for, should have paid more attention to the description" and people leaving positive feedback...

Downloading stuff is one thing, but making the sort of profits these losers make pisses me off.

 

E-bay is a risky place at times, still its lame that people sell back ups as the real deal, at least they could have the decency to tell them it is not an orignal, go figure.

People wonder why I won't release copies of my one and only beta game... THIS is why. I was the one that "found" the Angels 2 Graphic Collection and Silky Lip Demo beta. Shared them with a select few to cover the cost (even though I could've easily afforded it) and then some French fuck decides to make cash on them.

I have emailed Sega directly demanding they take action against Ebay and this seller or I will report it to Elspa and FaSt.It's plain ridiculous, I don't mind this being downloaded but letting people who don't know being conned into buying copied games with mock covers printed is just neglect.Sega should be taking the kind of stance Sony does with Ebay on this matter to protect their fans and the industry.This prick needs to be prosecuted and Ebay need to act against this NOW.They were on British news tonight Ebay for letting guns be sold in the UK on their site.The police and scotland Yard are now investigating Ebay's practices.Ebay are just taking the piss by only employing 1000 people worldwide to police their system.They are making a killinng and need to police their hugely busy site now.

Well PA, BoR and HL were all over the place, too - but they still fetch high prices on ebay...

 

When I get betas I will share them with everyone who is on assembler like yakumo, Antipasta, gaijin punch, importaku etc..., so what we need to do is come up with a protection scheme like putting a password in the game so when it boots you have to enter this password or else it will not load.

Maybe someone on the board who knows how to code things like this could do it.Maybe it cannot be done but if it is done well enough it would be enough of a detterent for wankers like these sellers.Surely it can though.I have had dvd's with this protection method on them.Software dvd's that is.It was also nigh on impossible to hack without some pretty good knowledge.

 

Wouldnt work, hell if massive software houses can't protect their shit, what makes you think we could do a better job just hacking at it?
