So,I've got this Xbox version 1.4 with a Winbond 256k TSOP. All nice and good, got it softmodded through SID5 Pimped CD edition (my "DVD" drive produces DVD coasters -________- so I had to resort to CDs),used HeXEn to install the softmod on a 10GB drive (the only bigger drive I have atm) and installed X2 4981. Now,I know that HeXEN gives me 3 options, but I don't really like any of them except X2 4981: 1.iND-BIOS 5003 2.X2 4981 (my fave since it uses the original intro and makes my box "stealth" because nobody would look after the Microsoft text, right?) 3.EvoX M8 (same as X2 but has a ugly logo in the corner) Finally, here's the question: Are there more 256K BIOSes for a 256K TSOP?
iND-BIOS 5004 which is one of the best choices for a 256KB TSOP There are debug BIOS in 256KB format but I don't recommend you flash those. You can also remove the EvoX logo from M8+ using the PC app called EVTool; but that's a little more complicated solution than flashing straight from a CD.
Tons, but probably none really worth it. You'd be better off with a modchip if you want to play around with most BIOSes.
5004? I haven't seen any mention of it anywhere. Just 5003. BTW,are those based off X2 5035 BIOSes or what? I'm too broke now to afford a modchip for Xbox. That's why I went with TSOP,and also because it's free
Ind-Bios 5004 is the last beta they released, it not named 5004 it's called ind-bios.5003.beta.Feb-11-05 it fixed the white + back shutdown combo. (It wasn't meant to do that) & no there not based off any bios bar the official Xbox bios. Ind-Bios has different feature than the x2 5035. (Though most are the same) all bios bar the Cromwell one are based off the leaked Xbox source. here is my 5004 bios, I have a custom config path, so edit your dash location in the config.cfg file & place the folder on C:\ then flash your Tsop. so would be "C:\ind-Bios\Config\Config.cfg" https://www.dropbox.com/s/p7w18bmju5oya99/CUSTOM iND-BiOS.5004.67.bin.zip
