I always though 100min 900MB cd-r were simply 99min 870MB ones with the labelling "rounded up". It is not too hard to find some online, never tried 100min labelled one though. It's bending the standards, yet it works with good drives,

Technically, there's no such thing as a 100 minute CD - the best you can do is 99 minute, 59 seconds, and 74 frames (1 frame less than 100 minutes). The reason is that byte values are used for the head position, but said bytes are BCD encoded. So 99 is as high as the minutes go.

I just use some Maxells. They all work great, and the only failure I had was when I tried to convert a Neo CD game by myself. I plan on buying some Taiyo Yudens, especially since I only have less than 10 maxells left.
Shame TY doesn't sell mini DVD-Rs in this country.

As an update I'm finding my burns to be inconsistent with a 50/50 chance of frisbee will look into a new burner.

If you burn using DAO mode, try SAO mode instead. The two burners I use at the moment burn nothing but coasters in DAO mode, but SAO works like a charm.
