I didn't mention this title earlier on, seeing it's not really circulating in collectors hands. But an developer who worked on Planet of the Apes has a working Dreamcast build in his possession (don't know the state of completion of this build though).

Hi, one of the admins of Dreamcast.es here

One colleague talked with one of the devs of Commandos 2 and the guy said that the Dreamcast port didn't make it because of the RAM limitation of 16 MB. He said they run the first levels of the game without problems but in some levels the fps were very low, therefore the game run slow / crashed on some levels. The last build they compiled was more of a proof of concept than a playable copy. If the DC hadn't been discontinued, the port would have been worked on, but the port barely made it to alpha state. I would erase Commandos 2 from the list of games 'to be leaked' as it never made it out of the HDDs of Pyro Studios and there is no GD-R copy and there's nothing now in the HDDs of the Katanas that they had in the studio.

Some great info there, thanks Wombat and Blai.

Blai, your post reminded me of a game that was mentioned here - I believe it was 'Actua Soccer' and there was something else (Thief?) found on a devkit but neither game could be compiled to actually run on a Dreamcast. Either they were incomplete or, iirc, they simply weren't finished - or even remotely in a working state.

Over in the dedicated Dreamcast forum here someone claimed to have a devkit with Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator but nobody seemed interested in the find and the thread died out a long, long, time ago - I tried to bump it a few times but it just died out. It's a shame because it looked promising based on the posts by the owner of the devkit. I wish people had encouraged the owner to pursue it more...

So, we gotta add Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator and Planet of The Apes and erase Commandos 2 from the list...

I think Planet of the Apes on DC wouldn´t differ too much from the PC version (it has nice graphics for the time)

Arnoldlayne, and it was the first or the second combat simulator?

This one (the second one) seems to fit on the DC tech capabilities and it was released on the 2000.

Blai, soy un gran seguidor de DC.es desde hace 10 años :). Alguien de ustedes sabe algo sobre la beta de Soul Reaver 2 para DC?

(translation: Blai, big follower of DC.es here, from 10 years to nowadays. Do somebody of you guys knows something about Soul Reaver 2 beta for DC?)

    Saludos desde Colombia!

Ok guys, I found this old post in the forums of my web Dreamcast.es by user Mekanaizer. I had talks with him in the past and he seems a reliable person, so this info should be legit.

    According to Mekanaizer...

Dreamcast games that exist in GD-R, Silver or White Label form:

    - Arcade 3-in-1 (Jambo Safari/Brave Firefighter/Emerg.Ambulance)
    - Black & White
    - Castlevania (80% complete, 3 levels)
    - Dee Dee Planet (a demo was released)
    - ECW Rulez [USA] (pre-release)
    - Flintstones: Viva Rock Vegas (pre-release)
    - Gunvalkrie
    - Half-Life + Blue Shift (pre-release)
    - Half Life ?Demo? White Label (pre-release)
    - Heroes of Might and Magic III (pre-release)
    - Innocent Tears
    - Internet Game Pack
    - M.S.R. [Japan]
    - NFL Blitz '99
    - Planet of the Apes
    - PBA Bowling 2001 (pre-release)
    - Propeller Arena (pre-release)
    - Quake III Arena [Japan] (pre-release)
    - Striker
    - Take the Bullet (45% complete)
    - Test Drive Cycles (early beta)
    - Tony Hawk 3
    - Worms pinball (?beta?, sold years ago on Ebay)
    - There was given away Genesis emulator [Japan]

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dreamcast games that exist within DEV-box's:

    - Agartha (random data from pics to game files)
    - Colin Mcrea 2.0 (unknown status)
    - Defense Commander [extra internal work]
    - Geist Force (two difrent builds exist WinCE/Katana)
    - Ecco 2 (early build)
    - Hellgate (late build with features like: VS serial link mode)
    - Midnight GT (unknown status)
    - QuakeDC [extra internal work]
    - System Shock 2 (early build)
    - Thief 2 (early build)

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dreamcast games that exists but unknown "storage" and dev status:

    - Baldur's Gate
    - Gorka Morka
    - GP 500
    - Grand Prix (Microprose/Hasbro)
    - Picassio
    - Soul Reaver 2

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    He was right about

    - Geist Force (two difrent builds exist WinCE/Katana)
    - Ecco 2 (early build)
    - Hellgate (late build with features like: VS serial link mode)
    - System Shock 2 (early build)
    - Thief 2 (early build)

    These games have been found.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here's some questions I asked him between 2010 and 2013:

How do you know about "Castlevania (80% complete, 3 levels)"?

What about Planet of the Apes?

    Is this list 100% real?

Great detective work @Blai! The mayority of the games being mentioned make sense, lets hope they surface sooner or later. Based on the words of the ex SEGA employee on these very boards, "Arcade 3-in-1 (Jambo Safari/Brave Firefighter/Emerg.Ambulance)" never existed though and was only a idea pitched during a meeting. He's also right about "Internet Game Pack" (IGP).

Totally forgot about NFL Blitz, a video of that game surfaced at our very own @Yakumo's website; http://www.segagagadomain.com/movie-pages-dc/nfl-blitz99.htm

It's funny that no one ever mentions the Dreamcast PC Engine emulator that was included in Dream Passport 3 in Japan. It's real, I tried it out back in the day. It seemed to have good sound emulation too unlike the Mega Drive emulator.

That disc has been dumped iirc? No one has bothered to hack it to work offline with roms though and as it was released on an official gdrom I wouldn't call it unleaked / unreleased. But yeah it would be nice if someone did hack it :p

Buffy the Vampire Slayer was once in development for the Dreamcast, right?

It's a good list but some of them still remain unverified - I'd need to see some kind of proof.

    Castlevania
    Black and White
    Striker
    Three-in-one arcade
    Innocent Tears
    Tony Hawks 3
    Gunvalkyrie

In all these years I've yet to see any tangible proof those games exist on any disc format. I've yet to see anyone claim to own any of them.

Yes, but is there a playable Dreamcast version of the game?

Thanks a bunch,@Blai. Awesome information. I always wondered about DC THPS3. Very exciting to hear it's actually on disc somewhere.

I can't find the actual location of the post, but ironically I can find a topic where I actually quoted this actual quote (insert Xzibit meme here ;)).

Playing the retail PS2 version i dont see it out of the graphics possibilities of Drramcast. THPS2 on DC was a great game (lotta fun and killer soundtrack), but, despite having some great details on the skater's character model, it 32 bit origin was Still too evident...i always wanted to play a THPS that use the real DC power...but then the console die :(
