You said you were going to. But maybe that was if you found it for the person? It was a few years ago hah. Would love to have proper documentation for that debug menu

Don't recall ever selling it but yes I've had several conversations with people who claimed interest.
Final Fantasy Tactics had debug features but no documentation. Anthology had the huge stack of internal use only documentation. Some pics here in this old thread.

Ah okay, I think the last conversation we had it was possibly selling. Would love to work out something in the future, whether it was like Diablo or buying it outright. I dont mean documentation, but rather me doing the documenting :)

Email address is not private - it can be found on his website under his contact information. Jamie Fristrom is still making stuff today.

^This I just checked his website and his email address is indeed publically avaliable therefore to the best of my knowledge no rules were broken on Fudge's end (private information is one thing public is another and AFAIC if it's publically avalaible it's fair game), in light of this fact I'm requesting that
Jamie Fristrom's email address be readded back to Fudge's post.

@Tomleecee That's a very interesting discoevery can't wait to learn more about Traveller.

From an exchange i had with Ex-Core Design's Dan Scott, regarding claims made by C+VG Magazine:

Ross: Also, claim has always been that a 'team' at Core produced a tech demo for Sega to showcase the power of the Dreamcast off behind closed doors and this was Scud Racer, but so far no-one has been able to confirm or deny this.

Dan: I was never aware of anything like this... Core was not a big company at that time.. maybe 60 or 70 employees, and nothing like this rings a bell.

I'll confirm that, It was known at the time and Core were a big supporter of new Sega tech. Just look at their output for the Mega CD and 32x. The Scud Racer demo was also eventually leaked.

It wasn't leaked besides the video.

I guess @Dreamcastmaster refers to the SET2.1 SDK which is floating around on the WWW which contains the "SCUD race' tech demo.

I've never saw the SET2.1 software for download, the only thing that I know the tech demo videos, Ryo have the Scud tech demo.

It's definitely out there, for quite a few years now. If I recall correctly fellow member @Ryo Suzuki(?) has the SET5 build, this build unfortunately did not make it's way to the WWW :(

I know that Ryo have it, but i've never heard of the SET2.1 being leaked, was it named with an Katana SDK revision number?

Turns out that it indeed got leaked here, along with the 4.1, but I couldn't find an link to R2 only (The complete SDK versions are 3.8gb).

Anyone know if the following claims hold any substance?

1)Square started on The Bouncer on Dreamcast, before development switched to PS2.

2)Rockstar started GTA III on DC, but city was less detailed, more cartoony look, before it switched to development on PS2, more realistic look/vibe to it.

These 2 been floating around for years, but no-one seems to be able to name a source.

    3) Game-Online's report:

"But it's not all bad news as far as Dreamcast fans are concerned. Jeremy finally came clean about Herdy Gerdy - a game we broke the story on back at E3 (check the archive!).
"It's looking unbelievable," he said, about Core's first Sega game in two years. "Imagine playing an interactive Disney cartoon. That's what it's like. It's going to be the best-looking game ever when it comes out. That game is so secret".....

So DC version of Herdy somewhere?.

    1) Never heard of it, Square was an second party in the PS1 era and mostly second party at the PS2 era.

    2) This is quite known around the internet, but I don't recall if Rockstar ever confirmed officially, but some people say that they were developing indeed, but the DC lack of disc space and maybe the drive speed made things complicated, the cartoony look is actually from the reveal in December 2000.

I wonder what happened with the GBA proto cart of the GTA 3 that it was found on ebay once, it appears that it was in a development hell switching to 2-3 studios before Rockstar decided to cancel it.

    3) Never heard of Herdy Gerdy on DC, if that happened once, then Project Eden and Tomb Raider AOD were probably planned on DC once.

Yeah The Bouncer claims always had that 'whiff' about them, Squaresoft seemed firmly in the Sony camp by time DC was annouced.

Never heard Rockstar mention DC plans for GTA 3, it's never popped up in any of the articles (Making Of's etc i've read or books on GTA 3) , so i wondered where claims had sprung from, internet it is then.

3)Herdy Gerdy i'm putting down to Game-Online incorrectly reporting, as DC version was never mentioned in lengthy Edge magazine preview, where the team were spoken to at length and Gavin Rummery made it pretty clear there was NOT a lot of love for the DC at Core at that time, focus primarily was on PC+PS2:
