Anybody else Playing Tekken Tag 2? Anyone getting DOA5?

Well the scene isn't too abundant outside of japan for the game (i believe there are a few other regions where the game has a healthy community though) but not so much where i live. I recently downloaded the demo and I REALLY like what i got from it. I played VF5 (both PS3, and 360) for quite a while but dropped it after VF5R was released with no home port to speak of.

 

Yay! Unlocked Alpha-152 after many nights of battles. Got her in the end, and she's just crazy! Since I'm low rank like... E-, using her online is a little unfair to a lot of players. However the online is so laggy for me against people far away, I can barely move - so, Alpha saves me sometimes . I've lost twice with her though in a row which was surprising to say the least. Really, if people bitch about me being Alpha, then maybe they should stop choosing miss leg helicopter (Lisa). Just spam H+K down and the player can NEVER get up, unless you tech roll at the right second.

 

My first time Playing Persona 4 Arena

1. Pick Chie (Favorite P4 character)
2. Press a bunch of buttons.
3. Kick alot of ass not quite undersanding why.
4. Beat game.

Does the game have some sort of super Simple auto combo system that just does moves automatically or something? I went into the game totally blind so I have no idea what's going on.


On the Subject of VF5 FS, something is off about it. I can't put my finger on what it is but something just seems way off. Sega should have made this a retail title def though.

 

I was looking at the list of costumes for DOA5 that somebody posted, and I noticed that a lot of it says, "Collectors Edition DLC." Does that mean you have to buy the ridiculous $150 Collectors Edition in order to unlock all the costumes? Is there no other way to unlock them? Seems like a bit of a scam to me.

The collector's edition DLC can't even be bought on either the LIVE Marketplace or PSN Store - it's just an extra, plus they're just swimsuits.

There is also DLC for the game that is free, which is just past costumes... However non of these are required to complete the game.

 

This is why I almost never buy new games. If I'm going to pay $60 for a game, I want to be able to access everything. I hate this DLC shit. Just because it's not essential to completing the game doesn't mean you should have to pay out the ass for it.

 

The DLC is FREE! There is also unlockable swimsuits if you want them so badly, the costumes are just an "collector's" extra, it doesn't enhance, change or make the game any different.

 

How is it "free" if you have to pay more to get it? It's like when you buy a package of something, like pencils, that says "includes 2 free pencils!" They're not free, you're paying for them. If they really were free, you wouldn't have to pay for them - they'd just give them to you. Since you're paying for them, that means they're not free. You can say that it makes no difference whatsoever, but it must make a difference to someone, otherwise why did they include it?

 

I'm talking about the free DLC Tecmo released a week after DOA 5's launch. Like I said like 3 times already, the DLC with the collector's edition is an "extra" I never said THAT DLC is free.

Exactly, but really it won't effect the completing the game 100%.

 

If you want your DOA girls to look sexy I'm sure some DLC for us non collectors buying times will be released down the line.

Love the music in TTT2, having a lot of fun with this game, it's better than T6 by a long shot.

 

Are you playing on 360 or PS3? I've been neglecting this game for a while, but it'd be great to have more people to play with.

 

Well I'm always available for some Tag2 matches online via 360 XBL at anytime during the weekends and mondays.

And yes, the music tops in this game. The character select theme is enough to get pumped for some matches
