Is just me or anyone else here thinks F2 graphics dont look that nextgen, when compared to F1? How you goin to fix it? how damaged is it?
After hearing some stories anyone care to confirm that online co-op play in Fable 2 is split screen? (please say it not true)
I geuss I cant really say I bought it, Friend of mine works at the walmart at bruce B downs. He snagged a copy for me.
Fable 1 graphics were damn sweet !.. But from the vids I saw of Fable 2 it seems the graphics are more polished and more vivid. Will have a fair opinion once I try it  My Box has gone GPU-blind, I think it's not very damaged since sometimes it sends kind of a video signal out, there are lots of tricks & fixes out there in the web though I haven't chose one yet. Anyway what I do know (from what I've been told) is that even though I fix it, I'll get a Golden Ticket to RROD Land very soon :-(
Legally? lol Well, its been appearing on torrent sites for cracked Xboxes. The story is already ruined for me, but I don't think I'll be playing it for that. By what I've heard, once you beat the last area, you can't keep playing from there.
I have a difficult time getting excited about this as the first game was a big let down. It wasn't the worst game by any means, but it just was a little above average. This one will be a rental. In my opinion, it screwed up the first time, and now it has to earn back my trust.:icon_bigg
Friggin sucks, the X360 has to be the most unreliable console in history. I never heard of any other consoles having a failure rate even close to that.
Funny you mention that 'cause the only PS2 I had never worked. But then PS2 malfunction rate improved after a couple of years, while the X360 keeps failing.
Yeah, unfortunatly, I think the 360 has passed the PS2 in terms of a system being unreliable. I think a dead 360 outweights a dead PS2 even when PS2 was new. At least MS sort of does something about it though. I just wish mine would actually red ring or something. It keeps going from working to not working and I don't want to get the same busted shit back in time for Gears 2.
I finally got around to playing it tonight. I hardly even touched to main story, I spent about 30 minutes making swords as a blacksmith, and then bought out several vendors for a constant flow of money. Anyone know you get money from them even when the console is off? As soon as I can, I'm buying the Pub for MASSIVE profit.
I had bought the pub games and got a shit load of cash before fable 2, thats how I was able to buy all my stores.
LOL. that's almost exactly what i've been doing. i did a ton of blacksmithing, bought a few houses to rent out, got the sexiest haircut and facial hair, bought a hott new outfit, got married (twice), had a baby, had tons of unprotected sex, taught my dog tricks, and explored most of Bowerstone. all before talking to the lady by the well (AKA starting the main quest). this game rules. why did it have to come out a week before Fallout?? it's killin' me! (in a good way) EDIT: I also found out I have an STD! I love this game!
 I did something like that in Oblivion haha, did almost everything before starting the main quest. LOL @ STD
I've got tons of money now. Didn't bother doing the gambling minigames, I usually hate most card based minigames anyway. I'm kinda wishing I knew where some more clothing stores were though. If the selection in Bowerstone is almost the whole wardrobe you can get, I'll be REALLY disappointed. Its neat (and amusing) that you can put on Womens clothing though. BTW, what do STDs do? I've heard they do stat decreases temporarily, and I've also heard that they give you permanent rashes and warts, which makes NPCs dislike you. The only thing I have a complaint about is that its still kind of linear. I'm not sure how many more towns there are, but all I know of is Bloodstone. Perhaps Bloodstone will also have their own clothe stores with scarier products. Before I advance the main quest, I think I'm going to buy every house property I can and maybe marry. Still kind of worried about getting married though, I've heard someone else say their wife divorced them just because another NPC fell in love with you, without you loving them back!! Now THATS jealousy! And they take half your stuff, too. Right now I average about 1044 gold every 5 minutes. I think when the game is off, it changes from 5 minutes to one hour. Because I turned the game off for about 10 hours, started back up again, and I only had about 2760 gold, when it was about 276 gold every 5 minutes.
it's not as open as say Oblivion, but it's way less linear than the first. i actually turned off the gold trail and that helped make the game feel a bit more open. i left Bowerstone and just sort of wandered the country side. I found a few caves with bandits and some sort of abandoned mining area. it's pretty cool. i can't wait until i have more time to dig into the game.
I've been playing a bit more. I get about 10,000 gold every 5 minutes now. This is about what my character looks like too: http://www.warhammeronline.com/newsletter/images/2006/whunter_01.jpg Most of the clothes I used for it were Highwaymen's, and I dyed them leathery brown. Oh, and I used a Wizards hat for the actual hat. Besides the linearity (I still can't freaking get to Bloodstone, even after the first Spire quest) I LOVE how balanced and fun the combat is, and the story IMO is pretty engrossing. Time stop is one of my favorite spells, and I have a really really bad habit of actually yelling out "ZA WARUDOOOOO" whenever I cast it. It is a pretty cool spell when used with Vortex, though. It reminded me of the time grenade from TS: FP. I stopped time, cast Vortex level 4, and then backed away and started shooting at the guys in frozen time. When time resumed their dead bodies flew around and dropped TONS of experience. My main character got his head shaved and face shaved (during a quest) and I didn't notice how cartoonish his face was. My character is pretty much 95% good, really strong and physically tough, so that he has a big jaw and a heroic smile on his face, he looked JUST LIKE Buzz Lightyear. With the beard I never noticed the huge chin and jaw you get from being strong. I also like how Will lines are more like Maze's from Fable 1. Now if you use magic you actually look like a mage. This is probably one of the few WRPGs I own that I'll probably play through again as a much different character, like a 100% evil, 100% corrupt one.
