I envy you. Instead of a Wii, I got 2 chapters of Land Law and 3 articles on Conflicts of Laws :( I hope you bought component cables to play though :)

Does Action Replay for the gamecube work on the Wii?

Have you tried hooking up various USB devices to it?

Picked it up. Zelda is fucking awesome. I mean, this is something that goes far beyond what the other launch games do. The beginning is a bit boring since you are doing fetch quests and required to do fishing twice (Which has no tutorial, bad choice), but it picks up a bit later.

How do you find excite truck and wii sports? Think you'll ever play them again after the novelty wears off?

Action Replay and the SDLOADER and Samson Loader are reported both to work, but when you try to load a backup through GCOS, and likely any other method, it resets the Wii back to the Wiimain menu.

That means no drivecode hacks. However if you have SDLOAD, you can still use emulators that can load roms off the SD card.

You can choose Left or Right Handed, if thats what ya mean :) Wii Sports is really a lot of fun, Im only playing with one Wiimote with my roommate, but Bowling is freakin fun as hell. ExciteTruck is going to require more time, the one thing I dont like is its more about points then actually winning the race. The games look fine, I have no problem with the graphics. Component cable is at home, but even with Composite, it looks fine :)

    Thanks, could you provide links?

So I take that using AR by itself (without Samson's loader) wont work either? (because on the cube, u popped it open, and swapped discs - on the Wii, it probably resets every time u want to swap a disc, which bears the question , what happens with TWO DISC GAMES?!)

Btw, i think the Ps3 wins, clearly. It has far more impressive and emerging games. Zelda is for teh kids!!11 :p (I am being sarcastic)

If you eject a gamecube game when playing on the Wii it will not reset the system.Got me a Wii lastnight,Zelda is very impressive, and my arm hurts from playing Wii sports for too long.

Yes Barcode, I think they either make it when you try to use the drivecode it triggers a reset, or they took it out and by doing it, it inadvertantly resets it, who knows. It seems pretty clear though that Nintendo got off their asses and removed the debug commands with Wii hardware. So maybe it will be even more difficult this time to hack their system since they weren't as stupid.

    I can't say I'm disappointed about that.

hacking the gamecube didn't come until fairly late in its cycle. It wasnt very known or popular either to have a modded cube. For all those DVD-R backups of games i once owned and sold though, a gamecube might be handy. And you can bash me all you want, but keeping a game i bought in a DVD just for old time's sake is ok in my book :p Enter the matrix wasnt such an awesome game anyway :p

Hey, has anyone gotten Super Mario 64 yet? Quick question:

-Can it use the Wii remote?
-Is it any different from the 64 and DS versions?
    -Is the graphics improved?

most importantly, how does the lame "classic controller" handle the C buttons layout for camera control?
