Anyone else watching the EVO Streams?

I saw some Epic Sonia beasting in Mortal Kombat and an AMAZING battle between Zangeif and Viper in SSF IV AE 2012
Nothing at all interesting in Smash Brothers though.

 

Forgot it was on, guess I'll watch some SSF matches.

 

Been playing SSF4 almost daily for the past few months, so you know what I am watching. EVO gets bigger every year, wish I went to this one now that I have family in Vegas. Alas, next year awaits.

 

I learn alot from watching these matches. I'm still in shock over how good that Gief/Viper match was. For all the Drama around Brawl, I was disappointed by the Match Quality.

 

I still play AE several times a week, so im glued to that.

If anyone plays on Xbox or PC send an invite(same tag as here) if you want to get some matches in.

 

Might give me reason to plug the 360 back in.

I haven't played AE in a while but it's like riding a bike you never forget and people just keep jumping into my kicks as Cammy anyway.

 

matches in top 32 of AE are intense. Nice to see My main Rose still repped.

 

Watched abit also, that final match of the night for SF AE brought the drama for sure

 

Is this a new thing that's just been created or has it been going on for years? I just heard about this year...

Came in expecting to see some good matches, and nothing good, plus the guys commenting the fights looked like they did not know too much about Smash Bros.

 

Evo been around for about a decade more or less, but only started streaming in 2009 I believe.

 

Brilliant Seth play. Also Seth's big limitation is he has a low amount of health. It only takes a few hits to get Seth down to 3/4 health. So anyone who uses him has to really know what they're doing.

Did anyone see Marvel today? Some guy in the front had a sign that said "White People" that he would hold up, I think whenever a white person was playing. Fighting games are my favorite competitive "esport" to watch but why does the community continue to tolerate racism and sexism (like that girl who was harassed earlier this year at a big event). Any other sporting event that guy would have been booted out quickly by security.

 

I watched the Smash Melee matches this morning (Saturday) and they were just sick! Seeing Armada go to the losers bracket was just crazy. Everyone was just soo good it's insane. 0_0

Also watched the Persona finals and was blown away just by how cool that game looks. I haven't played it myself. Also watched some Street Fighter.

I could honestly watch this kinda of stuff all day every day. Such a high level of play all around.

 

Makes sense, I'm surprised in myself for not knowing about this though.

 

Awesome fights aren't all that went down at Evo.

Everyone from Street Fighter X Tekken that wasn't in SSFIV will be in HSFIV and I guess they are FINALLY FINALLY adding Alex.
About fucking time they're adding Alex too he's been #1 on my SF Wishlist since he was in Tatsunoko VS Capcom and not Marvel 3

 

They say the 5th character is someone never seen before in the SF series, so that rules out Alex(I would have loved Urien myself). My money is on Hagar. He already have the rest of the Final Fight cast.

Glad they're adding Hugo, Alex and Rolento (one of my favorites from the Alpha games), this also means that the one good thing about SFXT, characters that weren't in SSFIV, is moot.

 

Yeah no need to rebuy SFXT for PS3 since it's getting all the characters anyway.

Even after I had it (Cheap too $25 for the game and DLC) It felt it was half assed and rushed and not on par with the Great VS games of the past. So once again we're in agreement. For the guy that was supposed to be the star of Street Fighter III, Alex doesn't get enough love. Neither does Sean. Sean is much more than just some Dan Clone. Same with Remy, Remy is a decent character doesn't get any love.
Necro? He'd be fun in a SF IV game. It's Q, Oro and Twelve who can die in a fire.
