There's a stack of these at a local game store. I'm just wondering why the second to last one doesn't say SEGA on it like the others. I looked really closely, and it hasn't been rubbed away intentionally. Do one out of 5 Sega Saturns have a reputation for having the lettering come away? Or was there a company that would sell replacement pieces for the Saturn? Were there a batch of Saturn's made that they forgot to print SEGA on? I'm just wondering what you guys think may be the cause of that.
Ah, so it just has Sega printed on the top instead of the front. What were the differences between them? Just aesthetics?
That's the one I have - the model 1 Japanese console. I also have a US model 1, however it has laser issues. It can still run games, but sometimes you have to reboot the system to get a game to load, and it takes a very long time when it works.
At least everyone on this forum (mostly) has appreciation for the Saturn and many own one. I own a Model 1 Saturn that I fixed up from non-functioning condition.
God I love the Saturn. Still think they should have made all of them white though, looks so much better in that colour. EDIT: Speaking of which, when I get some money I plan to import one. Recently I came across an Asian model (with the native 220v power supply) and it's a videoCD unit (comes with the functionality out of the box and has the red video CD writing on the CD lid). Are those versions rare at all? I've never seen one before until today. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NTSC-J-Wh...95916?pt=Video_Games&hash=item3f294dac6c#shId
