I'm not exactly sure which game it was, but it was something on my brother's gameboy, which he still owns. (Along with the games.)
I wish I still had it and or owned an Atari at this point , but eh it's pitfall. Great game swinging on a rope and all
I still have my original cart of Sonic 1 along with the original model 1 Sega Genesis I played it on. Both are dead now... BUT, I do have an Everdrive MD and several other Genesis models along with the complete ROM collection and several hundred hacked ROMs too. Have model 1, 2, 3, and a Nomad in my collection now. I still go back and play Sonic 1 and beat it 100% in like 2 hours or less from time to time on the various model consoles I have for the nostalgia.
The first games somebody ever bought for me were those Sesame Street games for the Atari 2600. Sadly, most of our stuff was stolen in a break-in, Christmas 1986. Still do have one of the special Atari keypads (those large blue ones) that came with the cartridges, and the original Atari 2600 system we played on, which for some reason was kept in a box in a closet, and thus not stolen. Technically, that was not my Atari, it was my brother's Atari. My first console was my old C64, which I still have - but all my games were stolen at a later date, by a "friend" in Junior High (and he was friends with the guy who took all my Famiclone carts, even that awesome 42 in 1 with no repeats and a huge bunch of famicom launch titles). C64 doesn't turn on anymore, though. First machine I bought for myself, an original Game Boy I bought in Toys R Us, next to the Florida Mall in Orlando, when I was 13, August 1994, is standing on a shelf above my TV, just directly in my line of sight.
My first video game system was the SNES bundle with Super Mario World, Mario Paint and the mouse+pad. It's still somewhere at my mom's or brother's place... I recently re-played both (SMW and Mario Paint) in my PSP though
My first game was Squoon on NES, and yeah I think I still have it. I don't have that NES anymore though.
I do have most of the stuff I've ever owned, so yes, I still have my first Amstrad CPC game disks and the 32 in 1 cartridge for the Atari 2600 (and both systems too).
Hahaha... That's hilarious. It's the first game I ever owned, got it on my birthday even (I have 3 brothers, so we shared everything else). Still downstairs in my closet.
Yup. Mine was Elmo in grouchland, for the game boy colour. My very first games console. The whole game was 10 minutes long.
Less that I was too young to play anything older than that, more that I freeloaded off my brothers for most Spectrum and Amiga games until I was old enough to have my own.
Why are they dead ? Unrepairable? Im happy that my 1989 launch model genny still works great. Gave it a full in-out cleaning last year. Now im going to fully recap it pretty soon.
The Genesis is dead due to missing parts. Game dead most likely due to static charge and I don't have a cleaning system to discharge it. Game available for free to anyone interested. Check the free stuff thread for more stuff available.
My sega genesis is long dead, and unfortunately I don't have any of the games anymore. Wish I did though, because I look back on those games with great sentiment. Still have my launch gameboy though, although the screen protector is missing. It's still alive and kicking!
I now have working model 1, 2, and 3 Genesis along with Nomad and Everdrive MD flash cart with many different style controllers not to mention CD systems and 32X expansions (?) so all is cool now.
super mario bros and duckhunt combo! great great memories of that xmas.. and then on boxing Day I got Duck Tails and some wresetlemania gameO EDIT- oh and yes I still have them, somewhere at my mums house
I got Sonic 2 and NHL 95 the first day I got my Genesis, and I still have both of them, though I'm not sure which of my Sonic 2 carts is the original.
I do have that game, it is not that great... My first game I remember playing was Grand Prix and Olympic on the Acetronic MPU-1000, I have bought it back so I do have the console again. I am surprised on how good they were compared to the Atari versions. Glad I converted it to Composite video.
