Even though it was a better "mac", than the real mac.
Even if they make, like 5 games for it total - millions of people will still buy it just to conform. There was an April Fools Article at least a year ago where Apple was to come out with the GamePod or something like that...
As for Europe is was. Bad sale over the PSX which was cheaper and had a better marketing (not games though). For Jag theres about 20 CD and 60 cartridges depends what all you count. At least not in Europe as you can see the poor sales of iPhone.

Check the dates: the G4 cube was released even before the GC was unveiled, so I fail to see how apple could've been "inspired" by the GC, unless jobs has a time-machine. Taucias, I see a lot of similarities, basically becos it was the industrial design at Apple the one that decided to break away from the square style of the 80s and embrace a more "organic" look during the first half of the 90s. Theres other brands that also decided to pick up the idea, like Acer with the Aspire. Meanwhile brands like Compaq and IBM kept the old block-like style even during the late 90s.
