Not really, the Saturn port is pretty bad (not made by Sega, so duh): unplayable without the analog pad and doesn't control that well with it either. The arcade game itself is probably one of Sega's worst racers anyway - the soundtrack is the best thing about it IMO.

 

maybe is me but I like gale racer for the satun sadly is japanese. Also gran turismo is not so great I prefer Forza. On the Ps3 I like a lot Motorstorm. The midway racing games are gold I love them all. The PS3 wangan midnight is crap and the Initial D without the steering wheel is not the same feel.

 

O just can't play racing simulators.

What about MSR/PGR Series? They are not simulators. They fit in the arcade racers?

 

PGR was great. MSR I can't play I'm just all over the street in that.

We failed to mention Tokyo Xtreme racer. One of the great and still gorgous 13+ years later Dreamcast racers. I need to log more time into those.

Initial D Extreme Stage came in today. It took some getting used to coming off Ridge Racer 7 at first I was all over the road until I learned to nudge the stick and reduce the sensitivity on the left stick. Once I did that I was winning races left and right and really enjoying my drives through poorly rendered Rural Japan To horrible J-Eurobeat. I do love the music actually. Fun game not what I expected controls wise. I could NEVER play this on a 360 controller the sticks aren't stiff enough.

 

Turbo has a notably good FM towns port.

 

Yeah but who in the blue hell has an FM Towns? Let alone a working one. I always wanted a Marty my self but they aren't exactly easy to come by

 

PGR is one of the best, it kept it's legacy throughout each one. Too bad Bizarre went bust.

 

Hhm, I seem to remember Gran Turismo 2 came with two discs, a simulation mode and an ARCADE mode...hhm? Please see below. Oh and Phil Hartman is hilarious so I just had to add that in!!!! Watching NewsRadio right now!!!!

 

Another one I forgot to mention: Manx TT Superbike, which has a great Saturn port too. The only problem is the lack of content.

 

I remember playing alot of Hang on back in the day There was a Hang on for Saturn but I always Considered Manx TT Superbike to be the only real Hang On Successor.

 

Arcade mode still has simulation physics by the way. Arcade mode was basically a pickup and play disc.

 

Hang on a sec! How about Super hang on?

 

I always thought Super Hang On was just a Megasis port of Hang on Like Super Thunder Blade was for Thunder Blade

 

Seems like everyone forgets Enduro Racer ever existed...

 

Enduro Racer Hang Onish arcade game (only time I played it was in a Movie theater long ago and the machine was busted) and the Home version was a great Isometric Excitebike Clone.

 

So you thought very wrong then.

 

Cheap Thrills earn big bucks. Cheesy arcade flyers. So Super Hang On WAS a sequel. Heh
