After my next Amazon Order, I'll do a video. I don't have a ton of stuff but what I do have is VERY interesting.

Latest edition to arrive in the post.

Nope, that's not the movie soundtrack either.

I had no idea such a thing existed.

I've been seeking out Japanese Jazz on Vinyl but it's proving difficult.

The Blues Brothers existed even before the movie came out.

I knew that, I meant I didn't know they had albums outside the soundtracks.

That's quite a nice Jazz collection you have there. As for Japanese jazz, there's loads of it on Yahoo Auctions.

The Blues brothers have to original albums. The one above is called a case full of blues. The other is Blues Brothers Made In America (I think) and then there's the movie OST and a best of album. There maybe more but they are the ones I know about.

I'll have to take a look. Japanese Jazz is a genre unto itself.

Someday, I am going to raid the legendary record stores of Shibuya.

Shipping them home is going to be a bitch.

Carry them. I brought 12kg of 12" singles back to Japan from the UK over Christmas. I put them in to a record bag and carried them on to the plane as hand luggage.

Speaking of buying in the UK London is also on my Crate digging bucket list, Shibuya, London, New York, and maybe some hole in the wall in the south where lost blues albums are hiding.

    October 21st is looming.

I'm taking forever to pick out my next amazon order. In the mood for some System of a Down/Serj Tankian but those albums have skyrocketed in price on vinyl.

    Is that your birthday?

I'm back again with more "crap". OK, to the left there's the RAH Band - Clouds Across the Moon. This is the German press found here in Japan. I've always loved this track.
To the right is a track I only recently discovered by watching the old BBC Top of the Pop's reruns. They're doing the 1980's this and last month. Featured twice has been this group, Liquid Gold with Dance Yourself Dizzy. Oh man, this is pure disco revival in 1980. What surprised me was they were very popular in Japan. Getting hold of Liquid Gold stuff is quite easy.

I collect psychedelic rock and folk rock from the period ~1967-1972, mostly US based groups. It's gotten very tough to find stuff like this at everyday record stores, but since 2008, more and more labels are reissuing stuff from this era on vinyl and it can be on par or more affordable than a lot of the rarer, more unusual and interesting stuff.

Here's an obscure psych song about a House of Collection, I'm not entirely sure what its about but the lyrics reference collecting and preserving stuff even as the curator ages, perhaps the many collectors here can vibe with it ;)

Psychedelic Rock from the 60s might just be what I concentrate on after I fill out my jazz collection.
