WHERES SUNSHINE??!!!1!oneOH: J/k, that one sucked. I say Mario64: the originals while fun were never awesome IMO, but when I first saw Mario64 it was like "WTF!"h: Is becos of that game (and Starfox64) that I bought a N64 back then:nod:
Super Mario World is winning out over Mario Bros. 3?! I just don't get it. Sure, Mario World is flashy and has the whole secret exits thing, but Mario 3 just flows better IMO. And World 7 is the best set of mario stages ever, if you don't P-Wing your way through them.
Dude! Wario games are always awesome as hell. This is tough...when I was growing up, I beat the Mario's but they frustrated the hell out of me. I liked Sonic more. I'd say the SNES Mario....but I dunno. It's tough. Mario 64 blew me away when I first played it. Galaxy is a lot of fun, Sunshine was pretty fun too. Dunno. I guess there all good.
I think super mario world takes it, but for me Super Mario 64 is a close second with Mario Kart being third. I have such fond memories of all of them that its hard to decide. Anyway just about anything classic mario is superb
I went with 3 but it's on equal ground with World. Also New Super Mario Brothers for DS is amazing too and need mention. Why no love for NSMB?
I liked almost all the Mario games (well Sunshine was a bit tricky) but I have to admit that Mario 64 got me most. A big part of this vote consists out of childhoof memories and lots of nostalgia, but SM64 was in fact a pretty good game and I think none of the following Marios reached this quality yet (did not play SMG for more than 10min though).
M64 for me. While world & 3 were freaking fantastic, something about mario 64 still impresses me to this day. Because while decent, it was not great. Its esentualy felt like a tv show's begining 5 min recap of what happed last episode/season. The game is over too soon with out feeling like it had anything of it's own to add to the series. Not to mention it was way to god damn easy. Even when you purposly try to make it as tough as posible (playing as midget mario as long as you can).
Not Mario, but this got me thinking of 3D platformers....I think Crash Bandicoot 2 and 3 were awesome. They were really fun to play through all the way. Too bad they killed Crash and replaced him with crap.
I agree, the latest crash games suck. Crash of the Titans is crap and I'm so sure that Mind over Mutant will be crap as well
I wish there was a multi choice poll, since I love Super Mario All Stars and Super Mario World, and then Super Mario 64. So I can´t decide between them, to me they are sharing the top 1 with eachother.
I voted for Mario 64. The free exploration and discovery made it a delight to play, replay, collect all 120 stars, and just run around in the levels doing stunts. Mario Sunshine was a worthy sequel which perfected the camera and controls, but some of the shine placement was poor (lots of hidden stuff that required hosing down random unmarked parts of the world), swimming was a frustrating chore unlike in SM64, and the hotel level was buggy. Mario Galaxy just didn't have that same sense of fun because of the restrictive camera, and because relatively few levels were "explorable". And swimming still sucks And for the life of me I can't decide whether Mario 3 or Mario World is the better 2D Mario...
