Wow, what a croc, I think that's disgraceful. Well if Lingjr made a mistake on the auction price he should ATLEAST return your money.

He CANNOT keep your money. Atleast he has said he won't post the item instead of blaming it on a porr shipping company "Oh, I did post it but it must have gone missing...."

And what Legit is saying......... it sounds true. I saw the PSP kit a few days ago and considered bidding cos it was cheap but I forgot to "watch" it and so, forgot. His stuff is always sooo expensive.

I have been conned on Ebay before but luckily Paypal took my side of the story and ruled in my favour. They wouldn't give me any money back because he had withdrawn it from his account so I filed a chargeback with my credit card. I kept every email with regards to the whole transaction (from seller and Paypal) and Visa refunded my credit card statement.

Moral of the story.....I always pay with Paypal using a credit card. This way you have another form of proof of payment AND you can always file a chargeback.

Perhaps you should do the same if you paid on a credit card.

Ebay screws up its listings on ebay.com and many items that dont ship to the usa apear there.

His auction DID state that he Ships to Hong Kong and doesnt say anywhere else. (bar his description).

Also its likely that he might just be confused about having your money or something. I hardly think hes going to waste his time on $50.

The main part that counts is his auction boy and in it it said S&H for US. If you put custom script in for people to read than you should go by it. He should have removed that part and I would never have bidded.

He messed up on two counts one when he said he does not ship to us fine just refund my mney easy and two he never should have given me a item strike I did everything as instructed. Read complete description, made sure I have a verified shipping address, used pay pal added ems shipping and insurance.

Plain and simple the right thing todo is ship the item and remove the strike. At the very least remove the ebay strike and refund my money.

Well its the standard body for all his auctions hes likely to of made a mistake but you were given a couple of hints as to why it might not be... In the shipping section it said Hk and it was in HK dolars unlike his other ebay stuff.

Are you sure hes just not misunderstood that hes got your money. Has he actually said no you cant have your money back? are you 100% sure that he is aware you made a payment via paypal?

I find it very unlikely for him to be messing about with $50 but yeah you should have your refund. Next time remember to ask sellers questions if there is any conflicting info before making a bid.

I doubt Lingjr is ripping people off for 50 bucks. He's been selling for as long as I can remember, and I've seen a number of very, very expensive pieces go out his door. I assume he's just misunderstanding about how you paid and where - give the guy a break and explain it to him once again. Calling someone a cheat is a big step.

  9. His (Lingr) feedback wasn't that bad really. I bet he misunderstood what you said and meant to refund the money or doesn't realize he has your money. Whatever reason he decides not to send outside of HK, he should refund the money. His auction is confusing and why would he sell virtually everything else internationally but not this one item? (Maybe because Sony is cracking down on PSP sales in the UK?)

  10. Last question, what is the big deal with the auction? What did the item do? It just looked like a psp circuit board.

Will it do anything heck if I know but at least I am trying everything I can do legaly.

As for being paid yes he should know the response back from him where he told me he will not ship to us was after I emailed him and said I paid. Just in case he missed it I have emailed him a few more times to make sure he knew.

As for messing with me over 50.00 I really did not think he would looking at his feedback but a response of can not ship money will be refunded would make it easier. I really did not start getting mad at first untill he left me with an ebay strike. that was like knocking some one down and instead of asking can I help you he bloody well kicked me.

Frankly on the auction to me whether I get the item or not I do not care. Board is neat since its a dev board. I figured the dev board may have a differnt bios. But nowme it is the principle of the whole situation.

My real hope is this is a big misunderstanding and I will be able to write about ti but at this time it sure does not seem it.

  13. One thing that bugs me is that eBay can make it so other countries can't bid without permission from the seller. Why didn't Lingr do that? I've tried to bid on auctions from the cursed UK to find out that it won't accept my bid. I then have to email the seller to ask him to accept bids internationally.

  14. ...And to think I considered spending $15K on a PS2 development system. Whew. Glad I didn't bid. Although the auction does state he ships worldwide. I think I'll stick with Hi_Ricky for my expensive dev kits.

You are joking right? About actualy considering spending 15k that is on a ps2 dev kit. I could understand that price if you were buying it directly from the company, and were a licensed developer, but in any other instance thats WAAAAAY too much for something you wouldn't even be able to make legaly distributable software with.

  16. Well, I think I would have received a free Sony jacket too. At least it was in the picture. I would hope I do for that price.

In his shipping is was very clear in bold letters it say S&H US. That is very clear. just because it say HKD says nothing about shipping. I fyou print something in bold on the main body there should be no questions. to think otherwise is a joke.

On making it clear...I emailed him after I paid. and 8 times after his will not ship to us statement and I sent in a refund request through pay pal and they are waiting on his response. Sounds to me like I did. Also the pay pal notification he would have received.

You can trust I really hope to be proven wrong. I would be glad to say that but at this point he has given me no reason to say that. But, Like I said on the ebay strike that should never have happened. If he made a mistake on the auction great let me know you wont ship it but don't make matters worse and have ebay penalize me because of your mistake. That is not right!!!!

His complete auction was handled in a very bad way. Balls in his court to make it right. Until that day happens he has my cash, he has my item and he nailed me on ebay..sounds like I was had.

  18. I still don't see your ebay strike (negative feedback) from him. Does it take awhile for it to show up to others? I do see his negative feedback from you.

Look I took that aproach at first thinking it was a mistake but than after my email I had paid and after pay pal notification he should have received he gave me a non payment strike. To me that sounds like you are trying to set the stage to take my money. especially since he has his pay pal not directly linked to the auction. From what I have seen so far he is cheating me on my money. If you know him please have him prove me wrong I would gladly apolige but he needs to make things right. To me I do not understand what the shipping problem was his other board which did not have a buy it now ended at 54.00. I choose the buy it now one because I could not be at my computer when the auction ended. If you will ship that one worldwide what the hell is the problem with shipping the one i bid on worldwide.

Here is the link to the other one:

I do not think neg strikes show up publicly they are more you to ebay so ebay knows how many times you did not pay. After so many you are suspended.
