Sorry for reviving a old favorite, although this may please a few people: http://youtube.com/watch?v=1qAlyZXJm8Y&mode=related&search= 14 minutes of content. Granted, it does start to repeat near the end, but it does show off a little of the games engine and what little voice acting there is (Also, is it me, or does the voice samples for getting hit sound like Jill and Chris?)
Hey, thanks for posting that youtube link. I havent seen most of this stuff suprisingly. And is it me, or do some of the zombies seem to walk faster than usual? Maybe I am just letting my mind play tricks on me! h: At 11:30 on the video, Leons pistol sure sounds powerful...
It's always interesting to see footage from this game. I hadn´t noticed the voice samples for getting hit but perhaps you're right (they are very similar).
So what's the deal with this game? No one ever got ahold of a beta disc and dumped it to the internet? It certainly looks interesting and far different than RE2, esspecially the different female character.
Well, it was before my time in the proto scene, but Im always looking out there if someone has it and is willing to sell/transfer NDA ;P As for the game itself, if your looking for info: http://www.bioflames.com is the best site on the mater It hasnt been dumped as the Dude says, but its come close to getting into someones hands at least twice as far as I've been told. Both times failed though. Not sure if someone out there has it, though Programming Ace was spamming about how someone does and how it was proven to him a while back. Not so sure on his claims though.
Are there any sites that elaborate on the times it has almost gotten into collectors hands? I'd be quite interested in what happened and what prevented it from happening
One time it happened around 2k1. I think both times of it being up 'for sale' were here on this site back in the EZboard days.
I doubt it since the original BH 1.5 thread didn’t go up until Jan of 02. Truth is I don't think anybody has it. The cloak and dagger stories surrounding it have become the stuff of legend. Yet every time someone mentions a copy of 1.5 in private hands not once has there been any evidence to back it up.
it's proven that this game is out there, INFLAMES, the admin of bioflames, knew (or knows) a korean (?) guy who provided him a lot of pictures taken by mobile phone.
Well are those mobile pics availible for viewing? Hmm... I'm not a member of bioflames, but if anyone is maybe thy can inquire I mean this unreleased game is something to be really marveled at. I mean we all keep talking about EB64, while that would be amazing and interesting and incredible. When it comes down to it we'd maybe only get like a couple mins of gameplay. Though I'm not sure the length of that Spaceworld demo, but thats besides the point RE1.5 was around 80% complete. Which is pretty damn amazing. If this was released I'm sure the resident evil fanbase might be able to hack it into a fully playable game from begining to end if they tried hard enough and knowing the large amount of RE fans I'm sure it would. If there's a game thats unreleased and deserved to be played its this one. and if there was a group buyout I'd definitely donate some money towards the cause Sorry I'm getting excited at the thought. there's probably no chance in hell this will surface
Ye , but still there was a video of over 11 mins of smooth gameplay. Hmm wonder if there was a couple hours of gameplay completed
Keyword being video. They can make anything seem nice with a video. And that last 20% is probably extremely important so
In terms of possibly making the game fluid (e.g. menu systems, connect ingone area to another, working out glicthes), but I don't think anyone can really say how important the last 20% was. But, my optimism says that if it true was very far along then it would be able to be pieced together somehow. Even in a incomplete state. I wish there was a good example of this happening before hmm..... as normally a game is just released and pretty playable. BS zelda is an okay example as they took a game that shouldn't function without specific online components and pieced it together. But, its not the greatest example as its a 2D game. Nothing 3D i can think of however.
Man, this game is really what brought me into Assembler in the first place... and I'd still be willing to pay any price to get my hands on the game!
